Agree about enstrom and hendricks,,but why no comments on wheeler and little's foolish penalties!?

Stop bagging on Laine, he has been wide open 2/per game and buff ehlers refuse to pass and go for broke again.

7 shots on goal and one post I thought he looked good in regulatuon although I missed the first ot period.
im so sick off this narrative..

Do Ehlers and Stastny live to make Laine a better player?

I think Ehlers has had a very good series against the Preds so far - Should have way way more assists, he has been making some very slick passes!

I think they try themselves because Laine has fanned a good few really good passes over the last 15-20 games. If anything it is Laines fault Ehlers and Stastny are low on pts. Laine gets a few apples from pp1.

I really feel Ehlers has been way better than just 3 apples.

Btw, since Laines scoring has gone way down, I dont think it a given to give him the pass - Actually Laine could learn to pass himself. soo many times he is on a 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 with open players to pass to, who are in a good position to score, he is not, but still shoots and breaks the play. Damn people are hard on Ehlers this PO, yet not on Laine.. Preds broadcasters were all over Ehlers - prasin him

You guys need to relax ... the Jets will be just fine.
If the refs would just call half of the infractions the Preds commit the game would be over by the second period. The fans and the media need to call out the NHL on the dirty play of the Preds because if you don't they will continue to get away with it. Knee on knee on Morrissey and Little and no call.
that one play on OT where Little got a knee and Lowry got an elbow to the head...just baffling. almost as baffling as the Jets' PP to start the 3rd. boy, was that ugly.
i had to wake up at 445 AM for a 12 hr shift. i decided to tap out when it went to the 2nd OT. man needs some sleep.
woke up a few times with dreams that definitely convinced me the Jets had won in OT. whoops.

If anything, I think Laine passes a little too often at times. He’s given up some pretty good shooting opportunities in favour of trying to set other guys up. The narrative that he doesn’t pass is hugely off base...

It would have been absolutely incredible to have won last night. But, we got the split against one of the very best teams in the league in their rink...and came very close to taking both games. That is really all I was hoping for. Time for a whiteout...

Anyone got any videos of these? I missed the knee on Little. Too busy watching the cheap hit on Lowry while he was low.

to be honest? it was a subtle knee and i see why it was a no call. but i think that Nashville started to goon it up a bit yesterday. they got away with a few things, including knees.

Connor, Laine and Ehlers need to show up in this series and produce for us to win.

Buff and Scheif are carrying the team right now --we are going to have to see Connor, Laine, Ehlers and the young guys start to score. I think the "big stage" has them a little intimidated --all except for Ehlers. ( Nik looks real good)

I'd love to see Connor, Laine and Ehlers all score in the next game--and boost their confidence.

Not even worried. Jets haven't played there best hockey yet, and still got the split, which shoulda coulda been 2-0 goin back to the Peg. Jets win this in 5. By the way, hope PoMo's love fest of Hendricks has come to an end..................

If anyone has timestamps I can post clips.

Play By Play

The play by play summary linked above can help find events, for an example the Lowry hit to the head was event #393 and Little getting kneed/tripped was #394.

I'll edit this post in a minute or two with video.

Edit #2: Fixed the audio on the video.

Maurice and his love for Hendricks lost this game. It should have been Stastny line not the 4th line on the ice on the goal.

Absolutely incredible and frustrating.

Outside this game, Laine and Especially Ehlers have played pretty limited minutes.

All 3 seem snakebitten imo, since I think they have been playing well despite the lack of production.

Seems like people are struggling on the board after a loss as usual IN A GREAT GAME. We got the split and yes it’s dissapointing we didn’t win in OT but the angst is comical.

Series on.

The answer is spelled MATCHUPS. The home team gets the last change and can control the matchups. I think it was the Preds 2nd line that scored on our 4th in OT.

Lol remember when our 4th line could play with anyones 2nd line? That was BEFORE Hendricks was inserted in the line up. We were a match up nightmare because of that, now? I see Hendricks and Enstrom out there? Oh man please.....

That’s a pretty brutal knee.

What a ridiculous ****ing excuse.
44 is not a rookie and plays big minutes.

Morrissey did get walked but his underlying stats where by far the best in the team. He did far more good then bad last night. Toby on the other hand and bleed shots and chances against all night. He had a pretty poor game all around. I like Toby but he's been a step slower than usual and not nearly as effective since coming back from injury. Hopefully is game rounds into form quickly.

Yup. Playoffs are a roller coaster of emotions. I'm feeling pretty good with where we stand. And I'll trust Mo and the internal leadership has the boys on a nice even keel and we will come out flying on Tuesday.

the two things i noticed:
nashville has the edge on the Jets in the speed department, and
the Jets don't seem to be doing a good job finishing their checks. they sure like to slam into the boards beside the player (looking at you, Wheeler)

Lowry's penalty kill:

Hendricks:

Size and speed :sarcasm:

Really missing Armia on the PK.

I probably clipped the Hendricks shift a little too close to the entry into the zone, but the Jets positions, both forwards and defensemen, were nearly identical between the 2 PK units. The difference being that Hendricks was about 10 feet closer to the blue line and had a head start and still lost the race to the puck in the same spot that Lowry won it. Any speed the guy may have had is gone.

Not sure why people are upset with Laine. I thought he played really well. He got and generated a lot of offense. He was also probably our best winger on the boards in our end at maintaining control of the puck and getting it out of our end. I really can't complain with his production rates so far as 6 points in 7 games is close to what he was doing in the regular season.

The kid is due for them to start going in.
