Like getting Glass...Would have liked keeping Graham and especially Traff two potential bottom six thumpers but it is what it is...Thought he should deal from the excess defenseman in the prospect pool that's where you scratch your head with Fitz ....Instead he drafts them but then trades for them or signs ufa's ....Maybe draft fwds especially centers

Didn't realize Glass's qualifying offer was 2.5m. I can't see anyway NJ qualifies him at that price, but also don't expect he'd have a lot of suitors as a UFA. I think he'll be 4C next year unless he's a disaster.

i think he has a pretty good shot of impressing in a 3C role. Lord knows he’s the third best C on the roster right now.

As a premise a reclamation project with a young or youngish player makes more sense than adding broken down old gets that are almost certain to get worse and be overpaid doing it. NJ probably gets as much from this trade as the Doumolin one for much less of a cost

Glass is a solid défensive forward
On offense he has good hands but lacks confidence big time
Basically he has tools but can not find a way to use them
So potential for some offensive upside.

Which was my first take of a former high pick who hasn't panned out.

If he's a good defensive fwd then I do like the trade. Not looking to dig through stats at the moment, but how is he at faceoffs? Does he play much PK?

Not sure what these stats are saying but if his PK contribution is $15K that doesn't sound like he plays much.

"Too Low" doesn't sound like he doesn't get many of those either.

Also don't like how he is on his 4th team now and Pitt gave him less then a year.

But whatever. See what the kid has.

I feel like all of this seasons charts are jacked up for all Penguin players given how piss poor they are. Maybe I should have dug up some of his career charts

But good first period at least for Devils. Ignoring the goal , he looked good
