Okay-ish bottom 6 help who is young and RFA so might also help us in the future. Former #6 overall pick so maybe deep down somewhere there is some skill in there? Idk. We are the 4th NHL team for him so that ship has probably sailed.

Cost was nothing so I'm fine with it.

The 'cost' of Glass was carrying Glass's cap hit all season as a $2.55M 4th liner. Now that cap hits don't matter to many teams, he has some value (and indeed some minor value as an RFA although he will be non-tendered this offseason).

Yeah it's nice to get 2 3rds and a 6th for lugging around a bad contract for 3/4th of a season, thankfully the Devils aren't in that business anymore.
