I think tonight may end up being the proverbial nail in the coffin.

Thread being updated as we speak.

EDIT: all done. desperately need an Ottawa and NYI loss tomorrow or we're in even bigger trouble than we already are (oh yea, we also need to.. start winning ourselves)

ill be at the game, first row, people giving up their seats already. Devils showed great heart last night, offensively at the end, so something did spark, but defensively, we have been horrible since my first post when even broduer wasn't hurt and saving our buts.

can you put a C on a suit on Stevens?

I can't wait to see the attendance for the Florida game. It's going to be a ghost town.

huh

don't know what game you're talking about (Friday?).. or what you mean by a suit. I'm assuming you're trying to put a C on a Stevens jersey, in which case if it is an authentic jersey, they should be able to do it for you. Don't know about price.

if u want some front row action, now is the time on stub hub

Just went through the remaining home games and front row tickets are still >$200 each. They are typically around there for the lower name opponents (Florida, Ottawa, etc.). Not really sure what you're talking about.

Fans will show up. We had some of the best attendance we ever had during our 2010 disaster season..

but this really isn't relevant to this thread.. like at all..

not sure where my friend got cheaper front row, maybe upgrades from ticketmaster?

doubt it. or maybe the leechers already picked them up trying to make profit. friend got in early. but in any event, get lower level cheap as you can get, bet you can jump seats like a jumping jack if you want, just get there early

Screw the playoffs, let's just sit in good seats? :shakehead

Seriously, this isn't the place for this.. not the right thread.

all I stated was I was going to the game the mod was talking about, and I found cheap front row seats, you asked questions from there

take it easy

Updated to include draft lottery standings.

Also threw in the odds of winning the lottery at each position as well as the magic/elimination numbers for each team in the lottery. Note that these numbers are different than the other magic/elimination numbers because for the draft lottery, I'm assuming the Devils win all tiebreakers unless they officially lose a tiebreaker (so it's a real worse case scenario like magic numbers are supposed to be).

As they (hopefully never) arise, I will post any clinching/elimination scenarios relating to the draft lottery in the second post.

I can't wait to see the attendance for the Florida game. It's going to be a ghost town.

It's a weekend afternoon game, it probably pre-sold out for the most part. If you want a ghost town, the 23rd will likely be the worst attendance this year.

Canadiens? no shot.

Team travels well and is a major draw, that game will be sold out in all likelihood. Honestly would not be surprised if the remaining games are nearly sold out already.

According to TM map, still plenty of seats for all remaining home games. I know some people are probably taking a wait-and-see approach before buying, and another loss or two and those will be a hard sell. Wouldn't surprise me to see a few more $75 club emails come along either.

Pretty much need to win the next three just to get back in the race. Again the two Rags games left help us, but they need to actually start...you know WINNING. These "gritty" loses mean ****.

Can't say I am shocked we lost to Boston though, even when playing well we can't beat them. Win Friday, maybe Kovy on Monday and see what happens I guess.

Who's going to travel on a Tuesday night to see what may well be a meaningless game (unless the Habs are still fighting for the division)? Habs fans travel well on weekends, but the weekday games were never big draws in the past. Then again a lot of non-big draw games have suddenly become that this year.

I'm suddenly relieved I wound up selling my regular pair for the Panthers game (I got the free pair that game for the playoff invoice lol) at sth face a few days ago, and my pair for the Habs game above sth face the same day.

I'm of the opinion I want to turn this around Friday and make a push. No tanking, play up to their potential and make these last 8 mean something. Make that last game in the Garden REALLY mean something.

I'm staying on this boat until it has actually sunk. I can swim so it is cool.

There is still a scenario where we could play spoilers, knocking NYR out of the playoffs on the last day, allowing the Jets to sneak in. Not likely, but theoretically possible. Just sayin....

Only team realistically that could kick the Rags out that isn't us is the Jets. Flyers aren't getting in at this point.

More likely the game is either meaningless or it is the two of us fighting for the 8th spot.

52 or 53 points seem to be where the cut off will be. So literally tops we can lose in regulation is 2 games at this point, but realistically only one can really be afforded so tomorrow is pretty much everything. Lose and the odds are just way to steep, win and we survive until Monday at least.

The only good news is the Flyers and Sabres have pretty much fallen off the bubble. So now it's down to ten teams for eight spots, with us being the tenth on life support.

Though you have to also believe the Jets can actually maintain any kind of level of play to contend as well.

Really it is more 2 spots for 4 teams as I think the Isles are pretty secure...don't seem them crashing at this point. Ottawa still can, the Rags are not safe at all, Jets are there but they are also the Jets. We can still do this, biggest problem is the team hasn't shown they CAN do it at any time in recent memory.
