I dont know anything about Nils, but really dont get the idea that Bouch has bad hockey IQ.

This dude is so smart in the offensive zone. The way he can manipulate the ice to get shots through is like nothing ive seen by an Oilers dman. Great heads up passer and he by no means was sticking out in the defensive end.

I get issues about skating, but people in this thread saying he doesnt have hockey IQ is shocking.

I know nothing about Nils Lundqvist so I don't comment on players I don't have any views or information on.

Bouchard is a great prospect. Shot is elite, passing is elite, skating he's worked to get to average in the NHL.

Work he needs to do is defensive reads in his own zone, being a little more physically inclined to use his size to his advantage.

He has such a good first pass out of the zone tape to tape like a bullet. Never seen it recently with a defensive prospect in our system.

Also his shot whether wrister or slapper he gets it through more often then not.

He has to show it through a full season in the NHL. Great potential though.

Hopefully Lundqvist has a good career. Let's see after they have a couple years in the league.

In this thread I learned that the SHL is inferior to the CHL, the junior leagues where PPG players can't even hack it at the AHL level. Mmmkay

Nils definitely played like a rookie last year but id say a majority of the stars fans here were not happy he got unilaterally shut down before the playoffs while gaffes were a constant for all their defenseman not named Miro last year. I certainly haven’t written him off yet. Love to see him get a shot on PP2
