Some of the flack he catches on here and with some of the media is absolutely ridiculous. Like if he doesn't play a perfect game every single night then he's the worst thing ever and needs to be banished to the shadow realm. Dudes great and he can play on my team 8 days a week.Sure he takes the odd stupid penalty but in that respect he's in good company with his teammates. He plays hard, sticks up for his teammates and he seems to hate losing more than he loves winning, which is a refreshing change.
Says it allHe's +16 on a team that's -25.
Second most Dzone starts on the team (Beecher is 1st).
Played 25:55 against Vegas and was +2.
He’s almost double the next guy on the team in +/- and there are people who think he’s bad. It’s crazy
Sure he takes penalties, I DONT CARE. Some of em I like!!

Another shitty, repetitive take.Don’t confuse fans not liking the contract (term and AAV for a 30 year old) for not liking the player. He’s a good 3rd pair guy on a bad contract.
Bad contract ? It’s cap skyrocketing and he’s making 5 MDon’t confuse fans not liking the contract (term and AAV for a 30 year old) for not liking the player. He’s a good 3rd pair guy on a bad contract.
Doesn’t matter at all whether fans like a player contract. It’s management’s business—nothing to do with fans.Don’t confuse fans not liking the contract (term and AAV for a 30 year old) for not liking the player. He’s a good 3rd pair guy on a bad contract.
In fairness lots of people pick and chose when +/- is useful to support their opinion - I am not saying you're one of those people. With context, like being almost double the next guy while getting lots of dzone starts, it's decently useful. He’s almost double the next guy on the team in +/- and there are people who think he’s bad. I know people will blast me for saying this… but $5M? I pay that every god damn day for Zadorov. No regrets today - even better tomorrow.Bad contract ? It’s cap skyrocketing and he’s making 5 M
I would say he’s on a fantastic contract very shortly
Funny I thought he was making 6 M on a 5 year deal ~ which would age wellI know people will blast me for saying this… but $5M? I pay that every god damn day for Zadorov. No regrets today - even better tomorrow.
I have to laugh, but I always thought it was 5mil also, but kept reading 6 mil, and convinced myself it was. he has had is struggles at times, but I think you are right good signing, and he has shown more of a pulse than many on this team, I consider him a team first guy, I could be wrong but that is the way I see him.Funny I thought he was making 6 M on a 5 year deal ~ which would age well
But it’s 5 M…..yowza

interesting. so if a bad contract or two prevents a valuable piece from being re-signed or acquired that doesn't matter to fans?Doesn’t matter at all whether fans like a player contract. It’s management’s business—nothing to do with fans.

My comment that started this whole thread is that fans need to be more sophisticated and understand that you can separate the player from the contract. I love having Zadorov on this team, I don’t love that he will be taking $5M AAV from the cap through his mid 30s for what he brings. Nothing against Zadorov the player, my issue in this case would be with management that signed him to that contract.Yes it does. But the player shouldn’t be the target of venom. Management should be.
Fans might be concerned but their concerns are not involved in awarding contracts. That’s up to management.interesting. so if a bad contract or two prevents a valuable piece from being re-signed or acquired that doesn't matter to fans?
That’s why it’s so important to have a competent management team.Fans might be concerned but their concerns are not involved in awarding contracts. That’s up to management.
