He was neither, he entered the league when the majority of players do. There are like less than 5 players who play in the league at 18 on a given year, I wouldn't say he has any more longevity than any other average player
o-k-a-y.

1. Lecavalier: 1037
2. Stamkos: 1021
3. Hedman: 994
4. St. Louis: 972
5. Killorn: 805
6. Kucherov: 663

Somehow I cant help but find it more surprising that Killorn is so high up.

I think Kuch will own a lot of Lightning records by the time he's done.

* Nikita Kucherov notched his 30th point in his 20th game of the season, the seventh time a Lightning player has reached the benchmark that quickly and third time Kucherov has done so (also 18 GP in 2017-18 & 20 GP in 2022-23). He is the first Tampa Bay player to reach the mark in 20 games or fewer in consecutive seasons.

* Nikita Kucherov has 1-2—3 with a point on each of Tampa Bay’s first three goals today. With his first helper of the game, Kucherov became the third player in franchise history with at least 200 power-play assists, following Victor Hedman and Martin St. Louis.

* Nikita Kucherov recorded three-plus points in period for the 17th time in his NHL career, surpassing Martin St. Louis (16x) for the most three-point periods in Lightning history.

* Nikita Kucherov matched the franchise record for points in a game, tallying 2-4—6 to equal the mark set by Doug Crossman (3-3—6 on Nov. 7, 1992 at NYI). Kucherov is the first Lightning forward with a six-point showing.

* Nikita Kucherov (2-4—6) and Brayden Point (3-2—5) each recorded five points in the Lightning’s 8-2 victory. The only other time Tampa Bay had multiple players record as many points in the same game was December 7, 2006, when Martin St. Louis (1-4—5) and Vincent Lecavalier (3-2—5) both did so against Atlanta.

* Nikita Kucherov (2-4—6) became the first player this season with a six-point showing and moved into the League lead with 35 points overall (15-20—35 in 20 GP). He is the fourth player in the past 18 seasons with 35-plus point through his first 20 games played in a season, following Connor McDavid (3x), Leon Draisaitl (2x) and Steven Stamkos.

It’s good to see him shooting so much.
He still enjoys great assists more. His face was meh when he made that unreal unassisted goal going 1v3 and still bardowning a laser. His face was happiest when Hagel made a Kuck like pass to Kuch for a goal and when he shot-passed to Pointer.

It's a myth that Kucherov doesnt shoot much. He is our near perennial shot leader
He’s currently tied with MacKinnon for the league lead for SOG. I don’t remember that happening before but I didn’t check the stats for previous years.

I just wanna see an official game, like really true game with high stakes with Kuch Poin McDavid on the line. Can we trade for McDavid, knowing "great" GM abilities in Edmonton with all of thos 1st rounds and still being so bad, can we like give them ABB, Myers, Tomkins (hyey, they need an Nhl goalie who can win) and like all 1st round picks untill 2035 and get McDavid back with 99% retention?xD

I know, but "he never shoots" is such an over statement. If he never shoots, i don't know what to say about the rest of the team, all of whom shoot a lot less.

Like, he has to lead the league in shots for people to believe he shoots a lot? Come on.

Last year he averaged 3.3 shots per game.
This year he is averaging 4.6 shots per game.

I'm not sure why you think I was implying anything else.

And people still say he's "top 5" or "top 10." He's the best not named Conor McDavid. Been saying this for years. I like Draisaitl more than McDavid tbh, but he's behind Kucherov in my eyes.
I wish those people wouldn't compare them so much. McDavid is probably the closest incarnation of Pavel Bure since the man himself. Kills you with speed and skill and wills an entire team to win on his shoulders. But Kucherov will bag 4 points making it look like a chess match. Serious question: if he bagged 100 assists or scored 150 points would any of us really be surprised? They would probably say McDavid is still better and I don't think a single one of us would care.

We just want him crushing beer after winning a 3rd Cup.

That last part, YES! one of the reasons I was upset losing to Colorado was, that I wont watch drunk Kuch on pree conference xD

McDavid is on a very different tier than Bure. McDavid is gonna flirt with top5 all time, IMO.

Kucherov is actually closer to the Bure tier, but also likely a better player than Bure all in all. I think in the here and now, Kuch is still somewhat underrated. One of the most dangerous offensive players I've ever seen.

He literally hovered around like a beer leaguer at one point doing C cuts with his skates and made more plays than most guys do all night. It's actually hilarious to watch at times. Then of course theres the up and go moments where he goes 1 on 3.
