He has the narrative. In reality any one of Kucherov, MacKinnon or McDavid deserves the Hart, but the voters will certainly give it to MacKinnon.
he deserves it TBH. As an Oiler fan, he kinda got robbed the year Leon won it. 93 points when the next highest scorer on his team had 50? Dude put the Avs on his back that year.

I think its over

Mcdavid with an early goal

He will run away with it. Witnessing greatness

If he wins I doubt he wins by more than a few points. Hard to run away with it against this competition

How has he emerged as the favorite, what has he done to set him apart? Seems the basis for putting him 1st is based entirely off the 2018 thing, seems petty from journalists but I get it. I just don't see an actual legit argument based on play.

Near identical production and better all around play isn’t an argument?

As @Nathaniel predicted, there’s no way McDavid is getting 110, let alone 120.

Of course, he meant one of these other guys:

Assist 94 gives him sole possession of 19th most in a season.

With a period to go for both the Avs and Oilers, the scoring race is:

Kucherov 124 with 10 games left.
MacKinnon 123 with 9 games left.
McDavid 121 with 11 games left.

Next point ties McDavid with Shane Doan for 105th on the all-time scoring list. 903 games quicker.

McDavid has now scored 105 points in his past 53 games.

what a great season for the scoring race, top 3 players are legit Superstars, definitely great to see since I grew up watching in the 90s and witnessed the horrible dead puck era
