I cannot stand the Habs or their $hithead fans.

I loved the Islanders back in the Bossy era, so would be happy to see them win.

I hope the Habs win. The players deserve it at the very least.

It would also be a good wake-up call for other Canadian teams & especially Toronto

Carey Price has earned his trip and so has the rest of the team. It's sad to think we were the only team to take them to 7 so far, while underperforming/choking again. This was "the" year for a team to make a run that wasn't bonafied as the best of the best, and they did it when we couldnt.

There's a trend with ex-leaf players winning cups though, and Isles have a few, so if they win vs Tampa...

Islanders quite easily. I don't have any dislike for them. Great franchise that's paid it's dues, with some former Leafs.
The Habs? They're the Habs. Not to mention the fans will be unbearable. No worse than we would be if the Leafs ever had any amount of success (never happening) so here we are.

I'd much rather Tampa make it and sweep them 4 straight however. Even with the cap circumvention.

Its already a nightmare scenario that it will be Habs vs Isles (if they win tonight), so who wins is almost irrelevant. I swear the Leafs organization and its fans must have some horrible Karma or something to have to be subjected to this kind of feeling. Every year that I think it couldn't get worse, it does. I'm actually a bit broken and surprised that I still haven't been able to move on - for the first time ever (even the Boston comeback I moved on from pretty quickly). I'm disinterested in hockey after this loss which has never happened to me before. On the positive front, I've picked up some new hobbies that are more healthy for both the mind and body. Time to curb back the passion and interest in any one team.

either way, its a good lesson on the importance of 'effort' ...though Fleury is going to have nightmares about game 3 for a while, that screwup gave the Habs the series.
but, they always capitalize on mistakes, and the heavy forecheck causes quite a few

Kucherov likely out tonight. It’s gonna come down to habs/isles, isn’t it?
