A college kid who is 19 figured out the workings of the nhl! Love it.Cutter realized that he was walking into perpetual mediocrity. Starting to respect him more and more for realizing he didn't want any part of a shit show run by doorknobs.

Not wanting to play for an organization that hasn’t been relevant since you were five years old sounds logical. It doesn't take a world-traveled sage to accurately gauge NHL franchises.
Handing out NTC’s is a Flyer GM tradition. They all loved to do itNTC is stupid, but let's all be honest with ourselves. He wasn't going anywhere in this first two anyway.
Dude blocks shots. He's a Torts wet dream.
i really don't think it's that bad of a deal. the NTC is totally unnecessary, yes, and i'd prefer it to be one year shorter, but honestly? After the truly awful 3rd pairing d-men this team has had over the past decade+? Extending Nick Seeler to a 4x2.7 isn't going to piss me off right now.
Plus the other 10 teams he said he wouldn’t be traded to? The kid is a star, which I believe is possible, along with being a savvy gm/owner!It doesn't take a world-traveled sage to accurately gauge NHL franchises.
You could say it is ...4 years for Nick Seeler is pretty bad.
Damn lol

So you believe he felt the team was in great hands under Mr. Chuck Fletcher, when he was “born to be a Flyer”?
What’s the AAV per year? I heard 3.5 yesterday.Term and NTC are brutal.
AAV is good.
Should have been traded.
So he knew at the draft he was leaving the flyers in 2 years? And he was setting them up to go 1-3 picks higher?Every drafted player is born to play for that team on draft day, in basically every sport

So basically, in your opinion, he used the flyers to go 1-3 picks higher? As he already judged that the team was ineffective as a franchise?I think you're overthinking this. Maybe he did. Maybe he changed his mind when they hired Tortorella and went further off the deep end. Maybe something else made him decide enough was enough.
No matter how you slice it, nothing this team has done in his lifetime has bought them any leeway or benefit of the doubt. We are one of several teams in that boat. It truly isn't difficult to judge effectiveness of an NHL franchise.

Schultz, from what I remember, was ok......except that he couldn't lift his arm above his chest. If he were younger and likely to still be good if/when they turn the corner..I would agree. I don't see him holding up into 2026 and beyond. Probably looking at Nick Schultz 2.0 at that point.
Seriously? No. I do not understand how you read that post and came to this conclusion
