Want to see Nick Robertson play with Nick. Have them practice a few plays together. Most ending with Nick R driving to the net. If he has the IQ give him a green light to hold up at the hash marks and hit his tap asap.

If Britney can be freed, then so too can Ritchie.

Maybe he can phone up Paris Hilton and ask to co-star in The Simple Life 2 with Paris Hilton and Nicholas Ritchie.

The guy's getting plenty of chances lately. He really needs to pot a goal or two. If he can still manage about ten goals while often playing in the bottom six, I won't be too disappointed. I don't like his game enough to want him to be a regular top six forward.

The playoffs are dump and chase.

Might need him then.

That should be all that the fans and the team are focused on (of course get in first).

Guys who throw their weight around and are able to use their size and strength play a role in a long series. Keefe alluded to this "wearing down" effect after they lost and even before the series started last year he expressed his desire to see his team to check more, knowing the Habs would do so during the series.

I'm not suggesting I am going to fall for it again as I have in past years, but, this team seems far more willing to play a north/south, cycle, net presence, even chip-in game when it's the safe play. No one showing more improved gumption in my opinion than Tavares. He picked up the Michael Jordan vibe this offseason and is playing with a vengeance. He has something to prove, he knows he has the team that can do it if they choose to and he's leading by example.

I'm seeing Marner dump it in more often when nothing is there (not trying to force and giving the opposition easy counters), he and Nylander are also seemingly more comfortable in the corners. I'm seeing Matthews throw more bodychecks and the teams general comfort with less ice, as will occur in the playoffs. No need to force, just play your system.

What better way to prepare for playoff hockey than to play it as closely as possible during the regular season? This will be how this team is measured and the Leafs are better off with a bit more size and weight throwers come post-season. Ritchie can make such contributions and the points/wins will follow.

He’s on a worse pace than his first chance at the NHL.

I’m also not sure how much wear he’s going to apply if he can’t get where he needs to go. He needed Barb badly

Heard some talking heads yapping about Ritchie challenging Reaves next game and how he would instantly become a fan favorite if he bests him in a fight....and I have to admit they are probably right.

Don't think its usually good advice for any player to challenge Reaves but if Ritchie is smart, it should be at the top of his to do list.

At what point do you move on from this guy? Please stop putting him on the top line.
as long as the Leafs are playing well and comfortably in a playoff spot he’ll continue to get opportunities in the top 6

if he was making 1m he’d have been waived and buried in the minors

Keefe doesn't like offense, he likes watching Marner and Matthews languish together with a no talent hack like Ritchie on his line.

I cannot fathom the decision to put them back on a line together when it was dismal for the first 8 games of the season.

Horrible coach is all I can gather.

Matthews and Marner pouting that they weren't together and Ritchie promised a automatic top 6 spot when he signed here is probably the reason I imagine?
