Hypothetically if these offers were on the table for Paul, which would we be more comfortable with

Short term: 2 years 3.25m AAV w/o a NTC

Long term: 5 years 2.5m AAV w/M-NTC
The 5 year deal. He's a better "vet" to have at the end of the contract at a lower hit. If he's bottom 6 material at that time, and I mean strictly bottom 6, you don't want to replicate the Isles and have a ton of money on your 4th.

Giving him 2 years can mean we need to find a replacement if he produces and demands more. He's a great 3rd liner and fills a hole there.

As a sens fan im happy (but not surprised) that paul is having success. Hes a great guy and still a fan favorite up here.
Wish yall the best with Joseph! Good kid and has potential to pot 20 if he can work on his freaking finishing. Most of us really like Paul. Didn't know much about the guy at all to be honest but he's been awesome for us. Plays a solid two way game and is hard on the forecheck.

Nick has been in the league since 2015-16 and this will be his first time in the playoffs. Have to feel bad for these players that get drafted by perennial losers.
Agree. But to be fair. Ottawa turned him into a player. Very good chance he isn’t near as good without the development team here. He’s yours now. Good situation for all. Good luck.

Feels like he was on the ice for the entirety of that 3rd period. Nick is a great dude and happy to see him coming in clutch like that

"He's not Blake Coleman" yeah dude is even better lol.
keep him. if we have to trade killorn to do it idc
Nah, Killorn is better, dude might not be scoring but he was a beast vs Matthews. 5vs5 against Matthews 2.2 xGF and 1.31 xGA equaling 62.6% xGF%. Nobody in this team shut Matthews down except Killorn.

The whole series Killorn had 5vs5 +28 CF, +2GF, 57% xGF%. Paul's most common opposing players were Engvall and Kampf, his xGF% was 53%.
