I'm just going to pull this post out of the pile cause there's no other BS in it

Foligno definitely got his current injury here, and he also definitely did want to come to Toronto to live up to his Dads legacy. It was all but known he'd be coming to Toronto about 36-48 hours before he the trade was announced. I'm not totally sure why the 1st was paid but I also know both Minny and Colorado pushed pretty hard for Foligno.

I believe he's currently being sat for precautionary reasons bc they thought they'd win without him and no need to reaggravate what was reaggravated already but if it gets to 7 he'll come in, but that bit is personal opinion, not confirmed.
Agree i think i recall there being a clip during game 2 where it looked like he was grimacing after a hit , so likely tweaked his groin or something during game 2 which would explain why he took warmups for game 3 to likely see how he felt and if he could play though the issue

Hyman- matthews- marner
Gally- kerfoot - willy
Foligno - Engvall - Simmonds
Thornton - Spezza - Mikheyev

Simmonds has been great this series.
Foligno adds grit and a threat to our 3rd line.. move Mik to the 4th so it won't be too slow and adds speed on the vintage line.. a good mix

I believe that is unknown to the public. And unless anyone here has read his medical report (and they haven't) it makes a bit of this speculation look silly
Yes that makes sense thank you. I thought I was missing out on specific reports of his injury timeline

Getting Foligno for playoffs only for him not to be playing/contributing when needed most especially with JT down as well has been unfortunate. Someone mentioned he's always been injured is this true?

It’s Dubas fault that he has had to fill out this team with league minimum old guys and no talent hacks like Engvall and Mikheyev
Not everyone's role on the team is to score. That's the primary job of the first few lines.

Don't think he has always been injured , no doubt has had mutiple injuries during his career though

It does seem like we might have traded for an injured player. Oh well hopefully when he gets back in he stays in for more then a few minutes this time.

Foligno was injured this whole time and fighting guys / laying big hits? Or maybe he got hurt between the trade and now?

shocking I know.

I’ll leave it up to the often uninformed HF group of doctors to let me know tho.

Not a good sign that he looks in pain just skating around in practise. Even if he comes back these playoffs he’s going to be playing injured. Looking worse and worse

Be great if he can play, but I don't think he does. Hopefully we beat Montreal and he comes back for round 2.

It's strange that people seemed to have blanked out his first few games where he was playing incredibly physical.

The way folks are talking you'd think he got wheeled to Toronto on a hospital bed from Columbus

Not looking good.

Dubas should be blasted in the off-season for knowingly acquiring damaged goods.

Dubas should be blasted now (and at the time of the trade) for knowingly paying a 1st round pick for Nick Foligno. He did already have an injury, but I'm not sure if this is the same one or how serious it was

So you give your own uninformed medical opinion and then complain about other people giving theirs? Lol
