Everything is on their social media, which makes sense as thats where most people look first now.

I understand. However, I am not on social media so when do I, as a STH since day one, expect to get my information from the team I support?

I agree. The information should be on their website. But with such a small staff now, I guess they can’t update it like other teams can.

Best Case Scenario: IceDogs draft an impact player; he doesn’t report; the team gets sold; new ownership declare him defective; trade him for 7 high picks; have 2 first round picks in 2026. We have NEW LIFE in Niagara!!!

I agree it is probably best for all involved. That kid is a stud though it sucks not having him but I don't know why anyone would go there right now

When the IceDogs turn came up Caden Bell
was the name I was hoping to hear so I think it’s a great pick.

Not a bad pick considering it was pick #49 in the 3rd round. There were a couple of Best D available options to the IceDogs when it was their turn to pick. Evan Pahanich 6.03-195 (still growing was one really good option) and Caden Bell was the other option. Bell is much better 3rd round D selection than they were instructed to make last year. At 5.11 – 165, Bell is similar in stature to a lot of the other d, the IceDogs have returning. However, he’s still young, so perhaps, he grows a few more inches. They just missed, one pick before them, Cade Campbell and he would have been a really nice pick at 49.

After D Buchman, Green and Henderson were taken in the first round, there were some equally good d that went in that 2nd round that the IceDogs missed out on: Alex Forrest; Carter Kunopaski; Matthew Perreault; Jack Johnson; Blake Munning; USA Kaden Aucion; Lucas Nutting; USA Drew Roscoe, Cooper McAslan. It’s unfortunate that poor decision-making by the IceDogs in August, didn’t allow them to select one of these defenseman to go along with the two selections they made. Missed opportunity to put together a strong 09 draft class.

Would love to see a 4th round Chase Partridge pick if he’s still around when the IceDogs come up. I’m a sucker for the local picks and Chase is a hell of a player with his linemate Raynor going early 2nd round.

“Why would anyone go there” the organization had another year of scandal but the on ice talent is still really high and being a young team he could come in and be immediately part of what realistically should be one of the favourites in the east next year. Roobroeck and Wassilyn draft year, will be lots of NHL eyes on this team.

Looking ahead, the IceDogs will probably target another D with pick #78? If Evan Pahanich is available, that would be amazing. After, Pahanich, some of the D (smaller side) they might consider are Hayden Martin 5.11, Dante D’Andrea 5.11, Eric Wood 5.10

I don’t think they should go next beat D just go get a D Pahanich would be good but wouldn’t pick another guy early just to get a D

Our top pick not reporting could be a blessing.

Trade him for picks, use those picks + Frasca on a high end 19 y/o dman for the 25/26 season.

Start the 26/27 rebuild with 2 firsts, and get a huge haul for Wasilyn at the deadline to help load up for the next run.

Niagara just picked local kid Justin Flora. They drafted his brother last year in the u18 draft. High end skill but tiny. Was the best 09 in the area for years.

They won't be a favorite for anything. cultures like that don't win. it is poison. and it isn't just the owner/management either, some of the players there are real bad apples.
