Interesting! Since not all 2nd round picks have the same value, Brantford's pick could be anywhere from the 12-14 pick perhaps. So a 2nd round pick in the 1-8 range is probably an extra 3rd instead of a 4th. A lot of good players in the 2nd round this year, so a 2nd round pick that costs the IceDogs a 4th would suffice.

Loshko the hat trick Wasslynn a goal and four assists powered the Icedogs to a 7 to 2 win over Saginaw to split the season series before 2,958 fans at the Meridian Centre. Next game tomorrow night in Sudbury.
 
And just like that ... Barrie on a 3 game losing streak. Ya gotta love it.

All the IceDog naysayers are pretty quiet this week. I know they would be here bashing DD and predicting doom and spreading gloom if it was the other way around.

I will ask again ... just give it a rest. Buy some tickets and support our excellent time. Its ok to admit you are wrong. Its ok to cheer on the team again.

I think most of us have just been realistic that despite the results in the standings, the team isn't a real threat to contend with their D core.

At the break they lead the league in goals, but also allowed the 3rd most goals, with a goalie playing insanely well. Other contenders in the conference have been struggling too, but I expect some will pick it up.

At the end of the day, I still go to every game, I'm enjoying the ride. But I know next year is the year.

And no, I still don't trust DD, but I'm open to him proving me wrong.
