I come in peace lol I have a few questions for IceDogs fans...

Weather permitting, I'm looking to come up for the Windsor/Niagara game in early January. I've already purchased a ticket (will be coming from Erie). I've done some digging and I'm curious about a few topics...

- Where is the best place to park? I believe street parking is free on Sundays, correct? If that's not an option, there's the Garden Park Garage and the Ontario Street Garage? I think there is also a public lot near the Rankin Bridge, the Race Street lot on the road of the arena, and one on Garden Park? I don't mind walking a bit if needed.

- What places would people recommend? I'm thinking more comfort/pub food or breakfast. I've seen Fiddlers, Kully's, and Merchant's Ale House. Ideally, I want to eat somewhere local that I can't get in Windsor; that's always been my thing. The idea on this trip is more of a quick bite to eat before going into the rink. I'll likely grab something from the concessions there during the game.

- The Rankin Bridge and the one to the south are the access points from St. Paul to the arena? I don't need the box office; ticket will be in hand. I just need a way into the rink.

- Is there anything else I should know about going to a game?

Any advice or assistance is appreciated. This is the last OHL rink I need to hit so I'm all ears. I did visit the Gatorade Garden City Complex back years ago but haven't been to the city (besides traveling through) since. Much thanks!
Race street lot is s smallish fills up fast going downhill to the arena gets you t the box office entrance. Climbing the hill back to the car is a pain.but you can go back via by St.Paul street to avoid the hill

Hey, I always park at the parking garage. It’s five dollars but it’s a very easy walk to Meridian Center from there out of the garage you walk through a little alley cross the road turn left and you basically are right at Rankin bridge from there. You take the bridge through the side doors after 6 PM walk down the stairs to the main concourse and you’re in. I really hope that atmosphere improves he used to be great but with all this mess it’s pretty dead in there now for restaurants it’s not too far away. I would recommend the feathery pub it’s a must it’s probably about eight minutes from the parking garage which you will park at message me if you need any more help. .:)

Also, the best mixed drink at the game is called blackeye in my opinion they offer double shots which us a icedogd fans always need

Appreciate the assistance. lol I won't be drinking at the game as I've got a 5-6 hr drive ahead of me.

Depending on the weather, I don't mind the hike uphill haha

No one knows. Since the new owner has taken over, they don't release much information. The coach said some players are hurt and some are sick, but no specifics are given. They haven't even mentioned Ryan Humphry leaving the team. He was just removed from their roster on the website with no announcement. There has been speculation about players leaving the team and asking to be traded but no one knows for sure. That is how the IceDogs operate. It's always a mess.

Just saw this on the Gambler's website. Scored 25 goals with Hamilton two years ago. Was that just his linemates or is there another reason he struggled this year?

Meh! Relax! You beat a marginal Petes team… It’s not like you beat a good team like OShawa or Barrie!

There is lots of free street parking if you don't mind walking. The Ontario Street garage or the Carlisle street garage are both only $5 and very close to the arena. If you drive a bigger car, the Carlisle street garage has smallish parking spots but the Ontario street garage has normal sized parking spots.

If you are looking to park and eat downtown, I would recommend Kully's (burgers, sandwiches, pizza and wings), Score Pizza (stone-fired pizza with unlimited toppings), Wild Wings, Hambrgr (best hamburgers around), or The Works (good hamburgers as well). Lots of people like the Merchant Ale House but I find their menu a little limited. There are lots of other restaurants downtown but those are the ones I have been to and liked. If you are looking for something really quick, there is a Subway and Pizza Pizza right by the Rankin Bridge.

Greatly appreciated! I don't mind walking at all; most road trips I do involve 3-4km a day, as long as I'm able. The parking garage tip is awesome; I don't know what car I'll have until closer to the trip so good to know. Food is going to be a quick thing to hold me over until the rink, if time permits.

The trade would happen today if rumour is true. The move makes sense as the Dogs would have two overage goalies next year. Best to give Charlie Burns some OHL reps this year.
