Definitely an embarrassment. But at 20 years old , don't you think either of them should have known better? For some reason, I don't think this is the end of the discussion - could there be criminal charges on the horizon? My god what an embarrassment, fans deserve so much better
I think Niagara is forgetting one thing - all those high end picks (legally) are minors. Parents could take one look at what is going on with the Ice Dogs and say, "No way son, you're not going there" on a personal level. But from a hockey point of view? I could see agents meeting with clients and their families long into the night, telling them to get the Hell away from the IceDogs as fast as possible. They got all their high picks signed as fast as possible before this got out lmao. It just keeps getting worse…
I wonder if a lawyer got ahold of their contract could find them an out of their contract due to recent events and undisclosed information prior to signingThey got all their high picks signed as fast as possible before this got out lmao. It just keeps getting worse…
Could definitely see trades being facilitated asap…I think Niagara is forgetting one thing - all those high end picks (legally) are minors. That’d make the league look bad after doing this exact thing one season prior. It’d be the right thing to do but you think the league pony’s up and admits their mistake? I don’tThe only thing that can save the franchise is for the OHL to force a sale and have a quality new owner save this years draft picks. Otherwise, wrap it up
They have to do something. They don't have to admit a thing, it's obvious to everyoneThat’d make the league look bad after doing this exact thing one season prior. It’d be the right thing to do but you think the league pony’s up and admits their mistake? I don’t

Maybe they should have advised that before they signed ?I think Niagara is forgetting one thing - all those high end picks (legally) are minors. Like....Wayne Gretzky ?Instead of picking a quality owner, they picked the low hanging fruit. Now Kick this plug out and get us a real owner. Can you believe the first thing this owner did was select Landon Cato as Captain...you can't make this sh@t up!
Hey, didn't that happen last year ?Could definitely see trades being facilitated asap…

Can not happen yetRyan Roobroeck to London for picks?
Unless there are rule changes made, only the first rounder can be traded this season. Can he be declared defective even after signing if he now refuses to report?Could definitely see trades being facilitated asap…
I smell court challenges.Unless there are rule changes made, only the first rounder can be traded this season. Can he be declared defective even after signing if he now refuses to report?
Bet there's a few people handwringing tonight LOTS of damage control required .Though unlikely at this time, I would not be shocked if Ryan Roobroeck doesn't go to another league until he can be traded. I'm sure his agent will field some calls from the USHL
I don’t think he is eligible to be traded as a defected player in September since he has already signed with Niagara. I think he only can be traded as a 16 year in the January 1st window.Ryan Roobroeck to London for picks?
