I really like this mandatory 3rd/4th jersey idea and I hope the NHL goes all the way and resurrect the Guardian Project.

I'm secretly hoping the Oilers do a white version of their early-2000's third jersey (the one with the flying gear logo). It's definitely a strange uniform and the traditionalist won't like it - but for a one-off, I'd be fine.

Or maybe a version of their white sweater but with orange shoulder yokes instead of blue? Would look at bit like their first WHA homes.

I'll fight anyone that says the Oil drop jersey wasn't the best they came out with.

They should make it like the NBA when teams frequently wear white at home (or color vs color) if they're going to do it this team. Teams could use something like

Home color: 30 games
Road white: 30 games
3rd: 15 games
4th/throwback: 7 games.

Half the teams will have to be white or light colored, the games that teams wear these are allegedly going to be against each other. So for likely pair offs like Flyers-Pens, Oilers-Flames, Lightning-Panthers, at least one team can’t have a dark jersey.

While I agree that hockey fans will like anything that is considered old and nostalgic, the Preda are hardly the first team to wear all yellow/gold.

Penguins, Kings, Vancouver large v jerseys, Golden Seals, Bruins all had yellow jerseys before Nashville. I am probably forgetting a team or two.
They're still the only one currently wearing yellow as a primary, which was my basis on the ''original'' comment.

Good idea by the league honestly. Should be able to bring in some money.

That's absurd. Have they ever asked which of a team's two jerseys they'd dreamed about wearing?

Of course not but the whole idea of a fourth jersey is equally absurd thus my attempt at satire that obviously flew right over your head.
