Because that's where the fit was for a trade. You ask a player to waive for a team that's on their no trade list and see what they say. Happens all the time. Sometimes the player agrees to waive and sometimes they don't.

I ain't happy. Center depth so important but wasnt addressed . Thinking might be boqvist is playing real well so no problem. That's the only reason why leave the way it is . Not sure.

I know you like him but don’t get too sold on Boqvist. Let’s see how he handles the roughness of the playoffs. Noticed he shied away more last night when the hitting picked up against the Leafs.
