As a fan, I don't give two flying you-know-whats about 6th round picks. It's about 50/50 for a 6th rounder to even get signed to a contract, let alone make it to the NHL and become an established player.

Worst case - Maroon is useless and they don't dress him.

Best case - Maroon becomes a 4-time cup champ in June.

I haven’t seen Maroon play lately and maybe he has fallen off a cliff , I don’t know but I do remember seeing a guy with the Lightning who worked his ass off on line 4 and has good hockey sense . He can make a play .
