Waiting to see the full deal, but first impression is that I prefer Norris to Cozens and Bernard-Docker is not a terrible throw-in. RD, decent defensive metrics.

JBD when I've watched him was a pretty low event sort of player. A decent upgrade option from Bryson IMO. Not the vet defenseman that I think the dcorp needs. Norris and Cozens swap feels like a change of scenery sort of move if it happens.

I’m gonna be honest…there isn’t much that could be on the other side of a Cozens trade that will make me blink.

They were likely offering up futures for Cozens and not great futures at that.

These aren’t the be all end all obviously…but they do shorthand differences in the strengths and weaknesses in their games

Move Byram out while we're at it, IMO

No desire to pay him big money long-term when he needs to be stapled to Dahlin to consistently succeed in his own end
