I'm going to be near Tampa for a wedding on Anna Maria Island during the finals, I'm going to buy some Habs gear and show up ready to invade.

The better team won the series. The Trotzes put up a good fight but I think structure and discipline can take you only so far when you don’t have the high end offensive talent to mitigate the “hope to win 1-0 with a double deflection point shot going in off a shin guard while being outshot 40-18” game plan.
I mean, Trotz had Leo Komarov riding shotgun with Matt Barzal. That’s either a horrible coaching decision or a big time roster deficiency, or both. The Islanders should really be targeting a sniper or two this off-season. And I thought JGP was really pedestrian for far too much of the series — maybe he was hurt?

TBay was the much better team. A lot more talented. By far.
Trotz did his best with what he had. He excells at taking average teams and making them punch above their weight.
They also really missed Anders Lee. He could have been a difference maker.
Anyway, hoping the Blightening crash and burn in the Finals. Go Habs go!

I get that the talking about Trotz is none stop here but you can at least recognize the impact Trotz had on the Caps and how it lead to our greatest 4 year stretch ever.

Nobody here is not recognizing what Trotz did for us… just many of us are tired of the same conversation three years later. Trotz came, Trotz saw, Trotz conquered, Trotz left.
Put another way: I very much appreciate Trotz for what he did and I very much do not give a shit about what he’s doing now.
