Risto is still a young buck though, only 26. Young especially for a defenseman.
The perceived value is through the roof.

Is "Hagelin could've done more offensively but still found ways to earn his paycheck" a valid opinion?
He’s also f***ing terrible. Like one of the worst D in the entire NHL.
Kinda hard to take last year's Buffalo team into consideration. Everyone was f***ing terrible last season. And I mean everyone. But I thought Risto was pretty decent in years prior.
It's also reasonable to conclude that Buffalo has been a god awful team throughout the entire lineup.it’s reasonable to conclude that Buffalo is bad because Ristolainen has been their #1D and not vice versa.
The Metro really going to go and do Washington a bunch of favors I guess.
Ristolainen’s numbers have been in the toilet for his entire career and it’s reasonable to conclude that Buffalo is bad because Ristolainen has been their #1D and not vice versa.

A young defenseman being asked to do way too much on a terrible team is a recipe for disaster. There's no defenseman that would put up good metrics in the situation that Risto has been in.
It's just what Buffalo does to young defenders - case in point Dahlin.
NYR trading away Buchnevich so they could sign Goodrow is .... fine with me.
Maybe Eichel, I'd lean more towards a western team for Eichel though.more likely for eichel (perhaps kuzy?)
ummmm what
So in the last 24 hours Fletcher has traded Ghost, Hagg, 2021 1st, 2022 2nd, 2022 7th, and 2023 2nd for…
