I would be surprised if even one team was truly in the dark about their own contracts, but it wouldn't shock me if visibility into other cap situations around the league was largely dependent on external resources.
I think this is probably the biggest thing. Teams were likely using CapFriendly to observe the cap situations of teams outside their own and using that instead of manually tracking (which is somewhat important for making trades and identifying trade targets that are affordable)
Not sure what's stopping teams from entering all the cap data from capfriendly into their own excel sheet or whatever and designating the data entry task to someone, unless CF had some special server-side API only teams had access to I don't think this should be more than an annoyance to opposing teams.

Utah’s colours are …… fine. I mean they like their blue tones (Brigham Young, past Utah Jazz), and they need a break from the Arizona colour splotch mess that we dealt with.

But?

The part I hate most is that it is the a very similar colour structure to those heinous (HI-Anus!!) Shittsburgh Blue alternates.

As a person, I don’t mind the kit.

As a hockey fan? I LOATHE.

One day Tom Wilson will be the Washington Capitals General Manager and on that day I will laugh heartily.
Huuuuge belly laugh…

I mean they had to already be doing that….at least as a backup….

“The club has also named Alexander Steen as special assistant to the general manager through the 2025-26 season, after which he will be appointed as the 12thgeneral manager in franchise history. The club also announced that Tim Taylor has been promoted to join Ryan Miller as an assistant general manager with the club. Taylor will continue to oversee player personnel while Miller oversees salary cap compliance, contract negotiations and other hockey operations responsibilities.”

Sounds like a solid foundation around Steen….a lot can change in 2 years….

Subban ripping the Oil. LOL
Rightfully so. Messier looks dumbfounded. You know Messier is thinking to himself, this team has no backbone or good leadership on the roster.

Panthers are simply neutralizing how the Oilers score their goals and exposing all the Oilers roster weaknesses. The Cinderella run for the Oilers is over! I don't even think they beat the best teams to get to the Final, as their path was a good deal easy.

Perry. What a putz. iirc, he was on the ice with Getzlaf and Penner when the Bears put away the Portland Pirates on their way to the Calder back in 2006. Didn't make enough of a difference.
