Those 2 penalty calls on the Panthers were phantom calls. Replay on both showed McDavid didn't trip over the Panthers stick but lost his balance stepping over(but not coming in contact with the stick) players stick. The high-stick call the Panthers stick maybe nicked the Oilers players visor, but sold the penalty snapping his head back.

Bob was the big difference in that 1st period.

Saw rumors of Guentzel and Chicago. I think he’s just gonna cash out. Chicago has money and cap and should probably surround Bedard with good players sooner rather than later
It makes a lot of sense. He’s getting to the age where it’s appealing to get that giant contract and cash out, plus he’s at least already won a cup. Signing in Chicago can give him that huge payday, be a mentor and still a great player on a team that should have a bright future.

So far the Oilers have been simply outworked by the Panthers.
If they hold up and win a game they should have lost that’s huge for the Panthers. Edmonton isn’t always going to outplay Florida, and Maurice is a great coach, adjustments will be made. You can watch video and prep all you want, but adjustments when the series actually start is most important.

No, Panthers never should have lost this game. Oilers are very good at creating offense and swarming with a lot of shots. Panthers outclassed the Oilers, with their depth.

Won't dare watch ESPN/ABC coverage. Sportnet crew and panel are light years better. Just one gripe with Sportsnet, they are over inflating how the Oilers played in Game 1. Oilers might have generated more shots, but the Panthers played smarter and was better with all the intangibles in the game.

Have to put something in perspective regarding goaltending. The Oilers faced Talbot/Rittich, Silovs and a not at his best Oettinger(he's young and will get better), to reach the Cup Final. Kings have no #1 goalie, the Canucks #1 goalie was injured and Oettinger is an up and coming top 10 #1 goalie. Bobrovsky is a 2 time Vezina winner and a Cup Finalist, so the Oilers have a lot of work cut out for them to get pucks by a goalie who is playing at a very elite level.

The Oils had quite then easy run to the finals. And it looked like the stars were all over them untill they ran out of steam.

Panthers and Barkov shutting down Matthews, Pasta, Bread Man and, McDavid is some of the best defending ive seen since prime Stevie Y.

Yep, dead.

Recommendations please! Gonna need a new set. 65"
The circuitheads will likely have many suggestions, but as testimonial I got one of these in 58" a year ago when our Roku tv in the living room died. It's pretty good for the price, plenty of inputs, nice picture, etc.

You have to monkey with the settings so it comes on without the Fire splash screen and goes right to your last input source, then it's just like any other smart tv.

No Samsung they don't support Dolby Vision which everyone else does in the HDR realm. If the room is seriously brightly challenged then LED is your way. Still LG Oled is The Way.

I got ab70-inch Samsung two summers ago off Amazon for about $650. It’s been great. It’s built Tizen software works as well as Roku without the Rokus software—just download the Roku app if you must have. Shipping took less than one week.
