Isn't Wahlstrom more of a sniper than a powerforward?

At this point he's neither.

The possibility of him becoming a 3rd liner capable of scoring 15 while being able to play a physical game is still there.

The possibility of his excellent shot resulting in a 2nd or 1st line sniping forward isn't there. Like hundreds of others in hockey history there were glimpses, hope amongst the fanbase that just got shattered with reality.

Never seen him play. What about him? Who does he compare to? What's his ceiling?
His brother but meaner and without the wheels. Ceiling is probably third line guy that can get 30 points. Dakota Joshua kinda

a power forward doesn't have to play on the wing. even better if you find a center with a power game.
I feel like an integral part of being a power forward is being a menace in front of the net which just doesn't really translate to the center position

Still doesn't change Knies is more proven which is what I said. I also don't know how he plays I've never watched him. Is he just a young guy with a bit of snarl or a powerforward like Knies
They both have 103 NHL games.

Cuylle is Mario Lemieux reincarnated.

In all seriousness, he's a little like a Mark Stone. Not saying he ever reaches that level. His puck skills, passing, and a little bit skating are the weakest parts of his game because he's great defensively, great in board battles, good goal scorer, hits a lot, can fight, and plays chippy. An absolute dream player to have on your team.

I fully expected this thread to be packed with Leafs fans gushing about Knies because at least in this case, it's kinda warranted. Too bad he got hurt because he was really breaking out.

Next one coming up in the Caps system is Ryan Leonard. Should be a good one from what I’ve seen.

Yea, Leonard continues to tear it up at BC. With W. Smith gone, he’s now playing with Hagens. Has a lot of snarl to his game, but is also a mobile playmaker with really slick hands and a nasty shot. We hope he can be a Tkachuk-like guy. Dude is clutch.

Check out this INSANE behind-the-back OT winner from earlier this week:

I've seen maybe a handful of power forwards in the entire league in the last 10 years.

There never were that many at a time even back in the day.

Cayden Lindstrom has all the elements of a true power forward. Big, fast and most importantly has the attitude on the ice for it. Lots of guys have the physical tools but not the mentality for it.

Power Forwards have a tendency to get hurt and have short primes because of that. Lindstrom has a bad injury history even before he sets foot on an NHL ice surface.

I know he's developed since, but I remember the below clip and have to laugh at this notion.

So an 18yr old fresh outta a Euro league didn't impress you with his ass kicking-ness? To him that must've felt like he was in the middle of a jungle in Vietnam.

Wood is up and coming in Nashville's system, needs to work on his skating apparently.

Yeah, in my book speed is a must for the job. I don't think of PF's as lumbering.

Cuylie’s pace is 32 goals , 68 points at 22.

Haha. The Rags' proxy penis is greater than the Leafs' proxy penis.
