The holiday is over. It's time to go back to work.

We start the day with ... oh, look at that. We are finished. Except for @Hollywood Cannon, obviously.

I wasn't planning on doing this, but then Asspain McGillivray, AKA @CanadianFlyer88, said that he was taking the summer off. So I think we should probably take a break, at least for a while. Maybe until the end of June, maybe until the beginning of August. It just seems like people have less of a regimented schedule during the summer, and there are no Flyers f***fests to draw us all here, so we could catch our breath and come back after a minipause like Stella getting her groove back. We'll keep this thread open - for one thing, it may take a few months for Cannon to make his picks, but mostly so we have somewhere to escape to.

So does anyone have any strong feelings of either agreement or opposition? It probably won't make a difference to the decision, but let me know.

I'm totally fine with a break. This fish I caught over the weekend will be pumping enough adrenaline and serotonin through my body to power a race horse for the next few months.

It's one of the biggest fish I've ever seen on this river system and it ate a dry fly off the surface which is unheard of. Look at this dinosaur

It's a wild brown trout (rather than a stocked fish), and was not caught near a waterfall unfortunately. The river system I fish (the Upper Delaware) has brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, and the rare tiger trout which is a cross-breed of brown and brook trout. This apex predator was 23" and easily over 5 lbs. The average trout up there is about 13-15", so it's truly a fish of a lifetime, especially on a dry fly.

They're catching the wrong rainbows then! The ones up in the Catskills are known for speed, stamina, and aerial acrobatics. I've seen them run over 100yds right after being hooked. The browns are just absolute brutes with truck-like power. You can usually tell the difference soon after the hookset.

Ah shit, sorry Jojo . The real estate in the Catskills is blowing up lately with people moving out of the city into the mountains. There are some good deals to be had though if you keep an eye on it. Sullivan County and Delaware County are my stomping grounds, so let me know if you end up being my cabin neighbor! It's a truly special place (not just because of the amazing fishing) and only a few hours from Philly. If it happens, we have TONS of hand-me-down gear to get her/you started as well as 15 years of priceless experience fishing up there. I'm an open book with many proteges already, so a couple more won't hurt.

The fish are super chill, but you can certainly beat up some of the asshole riverfront landowners that are trying to get rid of deeded public river access around their properties.

Yes, it’s quite funny. The original song is immensely popular in Japan, oddly enough, so that’s the context. Which makes a lot more sense than shitty St. Louis hockey teams using it.

This one has #Levels to it as the category states that we won't be plagued by this in the new world so lets just say that if Carey Price said to me that he wasn't going to allow a goal today well... you know what that means. He can't let me down. It's now allowed by the powers of the Quackverse.

Next we'll go to Team Screenwriter where I can honestly say this took me two hours to find someone that wasn't selected already to the point that I kind of gave up and settled on Adam McKay (who I don't believe to be taken in any area) who is responsible for Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, The Other Guys, and The Big Short among others. He also was responsible for the recent Lakers show on HBO. Now pretty much all of those movies I mentioned before included Will Ferrell but as of the creation of Winning Time (Lakers Show) Will Ferrell no longer talks to Adam McKay because he passed over Ferrell for the Jerry Buss part.
