I still have to watch thisWe really need a War Movie II (and III) category. It's a sin to have to choose one.

An almost impossibly nuanced and empathetic movie from an American director in a Hollywood production. It never feels like it; there's a uniqueness to it in the war movie pantheon. I think it might be Eastwood's crowning achievement.

Are you playing update 6 in experimental? The weekend is cruising along. It is almost over. Bastard.
We start the day with @Strawberry Fields, @Chuck Downie, and @ajgoal on the clock, and @DancingPanther on deck.
I am off to play Timberborn until I literally pass out. Happy Sunday.

The overhangs and aquaducts are part of the experimental u6 build so check for an update. Improved water physics in u6 tooYes, I think so - I just bought it about 10 days ago and started playing. It has badwater, but for some reason it is missing those overhanging ledges/terraces that look like half of a bridge. I have the bridges, though.

You can also shoot your beavers away, it's called the repopulater lolAwesome, thanks for the tip. I have to run to the store, but then I'm going to go apeshit in there.
Ok let me make a pickypick first in my hangover stupor then think about thisI love beavers, but I also hate them.
It's the summer, coming off a holiday weekend, sort of, so let's say that @Strawberry Fields and @Chuck Downie are on the clock.
@DancingPanther, who is on deck: I won't be back in here for a while, but if you get the chance, can you explain the gravity battery to me? I put one down way high on the map, and it seemed to work, but I had to break off that district, so there wasn't the same juice as my main network. I built it again, lower and on the main network, but it doesn't seem to want to connect to the pathway. Does it just have to be high up, or does it need a ledge to lean over? Will any side of it connect to a path? I'll be back later.
My understanding of the gravity battery is it's more of a power storage than a power generator. Battery is a misnomer. The higher the pulley thing, the more storage is available. Pro-tip: you can also dynamite below it for additional storage capacity.I love beavers, but I also hate them.

So when your colony needs more power, it draws from the battery and the load block thing lowers. When your colony has a surplus of energy, it stores it in the batter and the load thing rises up again.
I'm pretty sure it needs power connection not a path connection. If you pick a power shaft it'll probably show you where the connections are. Pretty sure you can hook it up to the grid from anywhere on its base. I didn't think the colony grid has anything to do with different districts? Pretty sure it's all one grid regardless of how many districts you have
Report back with screenshots pls let me see those beaversYosh, I am going to go in and give it a try. Thanks a lot.
Many dams/reservoirs are humongous batteries. They'll drain water during the day to produce power to supplement the grid. Then at night, when power demand is way down but the main plants are running anyway, they use the excess power in the grid to pump water back up into the reservoir so it can be used to make power later. When I am in charge my Imperial EV will also be my capital city, and it will use that method.

Thanks, Copernicus
I don't know how to do that lol Plus, I just started a new map.
