You guys are weird to be Sharks fans not rooting against Michkov, if only to juice Celebrini's Calder Trophy odds.

He missed 12 games, he's not winning the Calder unless he absolutely crushes it with production for the rest of the season

I don't care about individual trophies, let him finish 2nd in voting and have a chip on his shoulder forever

Button’s generally pretty complimentary to the Sharks and Grier’s rebuild (hard to argue with the early returns).

His list are often bizarre but I actually think they’re more likely to be aligned to any one scout. Everyone else does the consensus top 32 or 64 or whatever with a few things thrown in to be edgy, while bringing in some of their own bias (I.e preference for two way centers, RHD, power forward types, or whatever).

Could see the Oilers giving us a mid round pick for Sturm now that they’re basically done with Derek Ryan. I wonder who will give us something for Kunin, Ceci, and Rutta. Granlund should get us something but the rest is very debatable on trade value.

Agreed on Sturm as a lot of teams want big 4th line centers that can win faceoffs and PK. I bet we get a 3rd for Ceci as well...big #4 RD are usually popular. Someone may bite on Kunin as he is probably seen a guy who is built for the playoffs (physical, decently quick, good shot, leadership/energy). Rutta doesn't move I think.

I think Kunin will come back. Sharks need experienced forwards and Kunin is one of the few who's played decently.

I hope there’s a market for Ceci and Rutta but I’m keeping my expectations at there isn’t and let it be proven wrong. A playoff team paying to get rid of the last year of Ceci when he was a number four could stick to other playoff teams looking for such guys unless it’s for a 3rd pairing role. Same for Rutta but probably worse odds though I’ve liked his game the last few weeks. I’d be happy with anything for them.
