Yosh, here we are again.

We start the day with @Beef Invictus on the clock, @Young Sandwich on deck with a pair (gross), then back through Biff and myself to @BiggE and then my bruv with two picks to make.

I watched the second part of "Dune" last night, as I said I would. I always keep my promises. It was really good, obviously, but ... I don't know. There was a little something that kept me at arm's length. I have no idea what it is. Probably just all of the religion, which I am not interested in when it comes to my stories. Still, it was a pretty impressive achievement in filmmaking.
While I loved the films overall, I didn’t like the way they tweaked the ending from the novel version.

To me, the story really isn’t about religion in and of itself, but rather it’s about the way powerful groups (ie the sisterhood ) manipulate religion to influence people and events. All in all, the films were very well done and hoping they get the green light to shoot Dune: Messiah.

Thank you CDP! Courageous CDP! Dingy CDP! Protracted CDP!

I choose Bad Will Ambassador!

I've been trying to figure this one out for ages. The obvious is Aubrey Plaza but someone stole her earlier. So while I was doing some stuff, the kid was messing around on the PS5. I show up to play Helldivers, and she explains that she changed my ship name. It was named SES Claw of Mercy. She changed it to SES Blade of Law. She explained that a blade is better than a claw, and that she much prefers law to mercy. Then I knew what I must do.

I choose:

I saw a list of Apple's top 100 albums of all time. Mercy, mercy, mercy. If I weren't so naturally calm, I would be RAGING.

We start the day with @Beef Invictus on the clock, me on deck, @BiggE on the lido deck, and Big Bern on the lido afterdeck. Plus @Young Sandwich and some others with make-up picks to make. With this backlog, we can more or less take our time and get caught up.

Member that song "Ain't No Stopping Us Now"? They used to play that before the St. Louis Steamers MISL games, and the St. Louis Steamers are one of my very favorite things from my whole life. Enjoy this banger.

I feel like the background of this picture needs more flames coming from the house and people fleeing in terror. Too idyllic, not enough badwill.

"Tristan is the hero of the legend of Tristan and Iseult. In the legend, he is tasked with escorting the Irish princess Iseult to wed Tristan's uncle, King Mark of Cornwall. Tristan and Iseult accidentally drink a love potion during the journey and fall in love, beginning an adulterous relationship that eventually leads to Tristan's banishment and death. He is featured in Arthurian legends, including the seminal text Le Morte d'Arthur, as a skilled knight and a friend of Lancelot. Tristan participated in the Quest for the Holy Grail."

Tristan and Iseult is one of my all-timers. It rules.

As an old film major, I take my movies seriously. So, the official war movie of the Methgators will be this underrated 1964 film based on a true story, The Train.

Directed by John Frankenheimer and starring Burt Lancaster, Paul Scofield and Jeanne Moreau, and written by Franklin Coen, Frank Davis, and Walter Bernstein, it is loosely based on the non-fiction book Le Front D’Art by Rose Valland, who documented the works of art placed in storage that had been looted by the Nazis from museums and private art collections.

Set in August 1944 during WW2, it pits French resistance member Paul Labiche (Lancaster) against German Colonel Franz von Waldheim (Scofield), who is attempting to move stolen art masterpieces by train to Germany. Inspiration for the scenes of the train's interception came from the real life events regarding train #40044, as it was seized and examined outside Paris.
In contrast to the action and drama depicted in the film, the shipment of art that the Germans were attempting to take out of Paris on August 1, 1944, was held up by the Resistance via an endless barrage of forged paperwork and red tape and made it no farther than a railyard a few miles outside Paris.
While it doesn’t have the emotional impact of some of the more well known WW2 classics such as REDACTED and REDACTED, it’s a very well done film and features excellent performances by both Lancaster and Scofield.

@Hollywood Cannon , are you gonna board the train?

The last line of that post by Biggie Smalls made me think of "Are You Gonna Go My Way?" Lenny Kravitz is a complete tool.

We start the day with @Hollywood Cannon on the clock, @BernieParent on deck, @Rebels57 on the lido deck, and then Milord on the lido afterdeck. Plus all the make-up picks that need to be made. Don't worry, dudes - nothing is f***ed.

Except for "Sugar." Why can't these buttockses just make a steady, nice show that is well-written? Bitch.

This break before the final series in both sports is very stupidly long. Grow a pair and get going, losers.

We start the day with @Rebels57 on the clock with one pick, @Lord Defect in the asylum with FOUR picks to make, @CanadianFlyer88 on the lido deck, and mja on the lido afterdeck.

I took a break from "Sugar" and watched the first episode of "A Killer Paradox" instead. It was a good decision. I feel much better.
