My brother knows me so well. I was just so captivated by the NFC Beast last night.

With all of that said we're going to turn our attention to the Team Retro Clothing Item....

We were thinking that we wanted something that would be both useful in the new world and stylish. We also would like to recognize the smartness behind this being a retro item because time may work different in the Quackverse so this could make or break if we're moving backwards in time once we get there. No one wants to be left not being cool and stylish when that time comes. We also don't necessarily know how gravity work so these should help...

We select Moon Shoes.

For my next pick we turn our attention to the Team Cartoonist category and this one Cap might tell me I can't do or whatever but it's not really poaching anything from anyone or anything like that so it's probably fine.

We're going to select Ub Iwerks who was Walt Disney's best friend and the one who actually created Mickey Mouse. Obviously Disney gets all of the credit but this guy is the one that really created the Mouse.

These were the best

I did a bit of a drive by for my last pick, but here's some further information that is essential: the greatest team in NBA Jam, hands down, was Charlotte with Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson. Any other team is inferior by multiple magnitudes and of you disagree, you're simply wrong.

There were also codes to unlock players like real life brothers George and Bill Clinton. :sarcasm:

This game was the best.

For our next pick, we'll go back to the children's book category. I confirmed this is okay, despite being a book in a series written by the Bookworms' team author.

I first read this as an adult and I really enjoyed the concept. It's probably more YA than kids, but it's the kind of story I would have enjoyed as a 10 year old. The premise of the book and series is that an event gives multiple people on Earth superhuman abilities, but every time they use those abilities, they become more evil. The plebs try to rise up and overthrow the superhumans, who stake their claims by taking over certain cities, in the case of this book, Chicago.

The Seattle Sockeyes are thrilled to select Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson.

@Asnito, what super power would you use for evil? :naughty:

It's another day in paradise, if we use the word "paradise" the way idiots use the word "dynasty" when talking about the 21st century Blackhawks.

We start the day with @BiggE on the clock, Toe on deck, MacGruber on the lido deck, and ajgoal on the lido afterdeck. @Rebels57 is a hot f***ing mess, and @Asnito also needs to make up his pick.

We are definitely doing at least two more Team Music Videos, so plan accordingly. I try to make it fair - I always try to slip your suggestions in when I can, and sometimes I make Cannon pick the categories, but I also sometimes think of stuff that I want and make a category so I can nab it. You can always do the same, think of something you want and suggest a category to suit it. It's a good way to generate ideas. I just thought of two important music videos that represent something - I've thought of them before, but I just recently decided that I must have them, In fact, as I am sitting here I just thought of another one. And another one.

That f***ing show "I Am Solo" is great, but there was an episode missing, and that episode covered some crucial moments where things changed and drama occurred for several of the characters. The bad news is that happened and I am angry - the good news is that there are a shitload of episodes and seasons of this left for me to watch. So I will angrily keep chugging ahead, and I will angrily keep you abreast (phrasing) of events.

This game was the best.

It was also A+ pettiness.

For those that don't know, a long-standing rumor was confirmed a couple of years ago. The lead programmer was a huge Pistons fan. Detroit was in a bitter long-time feud with Jordan's Bulls, so it was hard coded into the game that the Bulls would always miss shots against the Pistons taken in the last few seconds.

When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?”

The Toads are going to use this pick to select our team element, Lithium.

Lithium (from Greek: λίθος, romanized: lithos, lit. 'stone') is a chemical element with the symbol Li and atomic number 3. It is a soft, silvery-white alkali metal. Under standard conditions, it is the least dense metal and the least dense solid element. Like all alkali metals, lithium is highly reactive and flammable, and must be stored in vacuum, inert atmosphere, or inert liquid such as purified kerosene or mineral oil. When cut, it exhibits a metallic luster, but moist air corrodes it quickly to a dull silvery gray, then black tarnish. It never occurs freely in nature, but only in (usually ionic) compounds, such as pegmatitic minerals, which were once the main source of lithium. Due to its solubility as an ion, it is present in ocean water and is commonly obtained from brines. Lithium metal is isolated electrolytically from a mixture of lithium chloride and potassium chloride.

The nucleus of the lithium atom verges on instability, since the two stable lithium isotopes found in nature have among the lowest binding energies per nucleon of all stable nuclides. Because of its relative nuclear instability, lithium is less common in the solar system than 25 of the first 32 chemical elements even though its nuclei are very light: it is an exception to the trend that heavier nuclei are less common.[4] For related reasons, lithium has important uses in nuclear physics. The transmutation of lithium atoms to helium in 1932 was the first fully man-made nuclear reaction, and lithium deuteride serves as a fusion fuel in staged thermonuclear weapons.[5]

Lithium and its compounds have several industrial applications, including heat-resistant glass and ceramics, lithium grease lubricants, flux additives for iron, steel and aluminium production, lithium metal batteries, and lithium-ion batteries. These uses consume more than three-quarters of lithium production.

Lithium is present in biological systems in trace amounts; its functions are uncertain. Lithium salts have proven to be useful as a mood stabilizer and antidepressant in the treatment of mental illness such as bipolar disorder.

I'm finally going to pick today :thumbu:
