A shoddy one at best.

Diablo Necromancer is who you hire to defeat an actual god of evil. Shang Tsung is who you hire to put on a basic necromancy show at your 5-year old's birthday party.
How did The Child appreciate her birthday necromancy show? I assume your cardiovascular preamble to your last pick stems from researching for her My Lil' Transplant play set.

In the ultra-rare occasion where I think about what I'm going to select instead of just pulling something out of my ass the moment I'm up in the order, I struggle between making real picks and going with the lore selections that are expected of me...
I find a mix of both will keep you and the lorewhores happy. Variety is the spice of life after all.

Gloomy. And yet, there is the glare. Well played, #DarkestTimeline.

We start the day with @CanadianFlyer88 on the clock, @GKJ on deck, Chuckles on the lido deck, and Cannon on the lido afterdeck. That sounds awfully familiar, with heavy emphasis on "awful." @Asnito can make up his pick anytime.

Of course, f***ing Adobe won't let me sign into Photoshop on the old computer, so I have been sitting here waiting 35 minutes for my poor, sick lappy to try to turn itself on. I'm so utterly f***ed. Anyway, later I might want to ask all of you some serious questions. I might not, but I might. If I do, I will say this at the top of the post:

Like that. But I might not.

Do we have to respond with ANSWER
At the top of our response?

QUESTION

What is the quickest way to back up all my files en masse? This is a serious question. I have an external hard drive, but I wouldn't mind using the cloud if possible - I just don't know how to use it. This isn't the kind of question I thought I would be asking lol. @JojoTheWhale @Beef Invictus at anyone else who knows.

If you already have the external hard drive, use it ASAP. Get your data safe and then evaluate options.

Yeah JoJo is perfectly right as ever.

Don't worry about system files and stuff dealing with how Windows and other programs work. Just transfer your photos, art, creations, documents, etc. You can get everything else back.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm assuming you're a moron (I am not), but in dealing with friends and family who are also not morons I've known people who've done that. This is a common non-moron thing to do and it should be harmless but in this situation it maybe isn't.

If your HD is dying then you need to get what you want off it ASAP without wasting time with the irrelevant stuff, while also not making the dying drive work harder in the process. Good luck.

I don't mind you treating me like a moron - it's always safer that way - but you could address me directly, you absolute whackjob.

I don't THINK the hard drive is failing - it feels and sounds like a mechanical problem. It is so f***ing loud. Like it sounds like the fan is churning through gravel. I got most of the most vital stuff now, I think, but the problem is all the Photoshop shit. It is going to take forever.

The old laptop's cord stopped working. The sick laptop's cord also stopped working some time ago, so I bought a replacement. That cord works on both laptops, but the old laptop's battery doesn't work at all, so it doesn't store any power - it can only be on when plugged in. I can't share the cord like two divers sharing oxygen, so I have to turn this (old) one off for a while to charge up the f***ed laptop while I stack shit on my external HD.

Does it happen to shut down on its own after a while?

Edit: and I don't mean like the battery dying, I mean you turn it on, the fan makes terrible noises, the laptop steadily slows down and then shuts off

No, it hasn't done that.

Oh one more thing, do you want me to beat up either of these laptops

Yes.

One other thing - the old laptop won't let me copy files from the external hard drive onto the desktop.

The f***?

Hmm. Well let's hope that it is indeed and overheating problem slowing the works and not the workings of the hard drive chewing themselves to pieces.

This will explain possible solutions better than I can pray to:
