Liked some of the picks. The biggest problem was letting Duke go in order to draft a giant goalie who'll most likely never outplay Shesterkin.

lol Buch is not better defensively. That's literally one year out of their entire careers. Buch is a better penalty killer but Goodrow is going to take over for him.

If we have to get rid of Kreider down the line, we might, but this was not the year to do it.

Yes he is.

Kreider is a physical monster who doesn't use his strengths. He plays like JVR (net front presence) when he has got blazing speed. He'll score 7 in 5 games just to be invisible for the next 5 games.

Kreider could be such a menace if he wanted to.

Buchnevich did this most of his career. There's a ton of revisionist history on Buchnevich on here based on one (not full) season.

I know he used to be the same, but it seems he outgrew it. Kreider has been like that his whole nhl career.

Did they really not think the return for him would have been better at the deadline?

Don't know the thinking there.

I suspect two things:

They wanted to free up room for Kakko and eventually Kravtsov, should he remain on the roster.

They think Blais has another level to hit and cold be a middle six tweener who can skate on the second line or the third line and net 15-20 goals and 35 points.

So in that sense, I think the probably value Blais more than the average fan.

Yea I feel ya. I prefer to get stuff from the dispenaries now instead of some guy growing it in his closet lol. The stuff i mentioned (except for Colorado's Bubba Fett), were from Massachusetts dispensaries. Cali is second to none in my opinion (obviously), if you ever go there, there is a company called Lowell that has the best pre-rolls i've ever had.

Buchnvich low-key went back to who he always was the second half. His scoring slowed down and his 5v5 play-driving fell off the face of the Earth.

He finished the year with worse defensive metrics than Kreider.

No one said Kreider sucks. But his contract will suck and he's the reason as to why we moved Buchnevich.

Who in here would choose Kreider over Buchnevich?

Kreider is older and is more likely to age worse.

Also RW are a lot of questionmarks while we already got Panarin and LAF on the LW.

It wasn't bad, many of the picks were reasonable, but it doesn't necessarily look like it holds the promise of having another level to hit either. I don't know if there is a Robertson, or a Jones, or Berard/Vierling in the mix.

Not all of that is on the Rangers. Some of that is the nature of the draft too.

How long had I been saying this? It was just a matter of time? Nobody wants to move buchy but the writing was on the wall and it had to be done. We have to make room for the highly regarded wing prospects and people kept saying yah but we gotta sign buch though and keep him with Mika. Ok where are these kids playing then? And I’d get zero response.
