I'm sure it's a combination...

For me, I would consider buying NHL Center Ice again if the NHL would do something that showed contrition....

Contrition is sincere remorse for wrongdoing; repentance.

It was a labor negotiation that is settled. This isn't a stock swindle or a murder case.

Sorry, I'm not sure why I find this so funny.

Probably because you're applying your own myopic definition of what does and does not merit contrition, which is simply your opinion.

You can get a free gamecenter live subscription the same way you did last season if you know how.. (the one that involves a jailbroken idevice)

I'll give away a few accounts if anyone's interested. Just PM me.

No, that's not it.

Independent of me, you're applying the concept of being 'crushed in spirit by a sense of sin' to labor negotiations.

It’s a rebuild.
When is the GameCenter Live app supposed to be released on XBOX Live? I checked earlier today, and the app wasn't available. I figured that it would be available by now because the new iOS app was already released.

Will the app be available for the XBOX this year?

Just came on here to ask the same question. Everything I find on Xbox.com says it was coming out Fall 2012.

Hm the new Android App for GCL is really cool.

The only things I worry about:
-> if they will be able to keep the "overall time" on the web on 4 hours, so that it does not show if the game goes to OT/shootout or not (depending on overall length) when watching on demand
-> quality of the PS3 app. Last years quality was just ugly..

Hey Guys - good to be back - didn't expect a 2012-13 season.

Last season I had to buy two Center ice subscriptions (one for home, one for the studio). But for this year I am considering 1x GCL - via Apple TVs. The question I have is, with a strong internet connection, is the video as good as TV?

Also are there ever buffering issues?

It is half the framerate of regular broadcast HD. Some people will notice this (I do a lot of work with video and it is extremely obvious to me)

It has adaptive streams so buffering should not be much of an issue. Fastest available streams this year will run at 4500 kbps, so if your internet is faster than that you should be set.

what is the fps 12 on GCL?

I am used to 23.98 in my line of work :)

I have commercial grade connection - usually get a ping of 11 ms

Would love to get the apk file if you (or anyone else for that matter) have it. The GCL app is not available in Norway.

Thanks bro. Nah, Google Play will only allow me to "send" the app to one of my devices. And since all my droid-devices are identified as Norwegian, I'm unable to obtain it.

Thanks for the effort, though.

Edit: Right, so it seems the below links are actually updated, even if the apk's are called 2011-12. I was able to access the app and to purchase premium.

Could anyone help me with the options that is available for a Swede?

Only Viasat?

That sucks, they've added together all their products to one streaming product that costs like 35$, and I already pay like 90$ for all their channels (the only thing I want additional is NHL on demand)...

Vault is still available in Europe. Has anyone tried to see games on replay from Vault only?

No guarantees, but if it's the same as last year, there won't be any blackouts in Scandinavia, meaning if you're able to sign up, you'll have access to all the games.

To be able to sign up you need a vpn, proxy or dns service. You can try hotspot shield or a similar service, there are plenty of them.

If games are blacked out, you will need a high speed vpn account (will usually cost $5-10). Note that this is a breach of the terms of use, and that nhl.com threaten to charge you $100 and consider taking legal actions if you try to circumvent blackouts.

Then there's always free streams with streamo (streamo dot atspace dot com) being one of the better.

You can pm me if you need help getting this stuff working.

Great.
Now I am really curious about the new quality which should be much better (3000 kb/s last season to 4500 kb/s this season?)

Kinda OT, but I can't get any videos to load with the NHL Vault that comes with Gamecenter Live.

I am using a windows PC and I've tried google chrome and firefox. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection (obviously I am posting) and the speed is fine. I can load youtube videos or other streaming media, just nothing from the Vault. I can select the game but it just sits there loading indefinitely.

First try disabling, then enabling the flash plug-in in your browser (tools - add-ons). If that does not work, try uninstalling and installing the newest version of flash. "infinite loading" is usually related to Flash.

Edit: Apparently there is an issue with NHL Vault atm, so could be none of these suggestions will work. In that case, you'll just have to wait for nhl.com to sort it out. Several users are reporting rapid buffering and loading.

First time Center Icer. If I make payment right now, will I be guaranteed access for opening night versus the bruins?

There's no cap to games watched per season is there?

I hear you can watch it through PS3, does anybody do this and can share their opinion about the quality?

Cheers.

If you make a payment now, you'll be fine tomorrow night. There are local blackouts, but if your out of country you'll be fine. There is no cap on games at all. You can even have split screen and have multiple games going at once.
Watching on PS3 is great quality, so long as you've got a solid Internet connection.
