Absolutely. I hope his suspension is lengthy. An unbelievably dickish play.

Leafs and Marner repryedly close to a $128million 8 year deal =$16 million per..
So much forvthe nobody gets more than Mathews Crap.
This is nothing more than a prediction from Steve Dangle. Is that $128 million total based off of anything more than angry shouty man Steve Dangle's conjecture?
But if true, that's tripling down on a failed formula.
Things change fast in this league. They cleaned our clocks in 2017 and were the new up and coming team. Now they are bottom feeders after making a big splash in free agency just a few years later.Well deserved
Perhaps a lesson to be learned. Don't go for the big swing too soon.Things change fast in this league. They cleaned our clocks in 2017 and were the new up and coming team. Now they are bottom feeders after making a big splash in free agency just a few years later.
The Hawks need to spend to hit the cap floor. That can be done by several $4 million contracts that take up several forward spots or one big spend for a seemingly open spot on the top line for a team in need of high end talent. Which makes more sense for this team at this moment?Perhaps a lesson to be learned. Don't go for the big swing too soon.
The age has to fit the timeline as well. I would prefer some eliteness for sure. And comparing orgs, it is apples to oranges. But still, a level of caution when signing big ticket players. The Hawks need to spend to hit the cap floor. Aren't you also always saying to play the younger players?! How does that work when adding several players exactly like Taylor Hall whom everyone was happy to let go?! Madness with some of the logic going on here.Several 4mil players on short term deals makes more sense.
Oh geez, and the timeline thing too. Let's schedule when they are good so no one is over 25 at that moment! The age has to fit the timeline as well. I would prefer some eliteness for sure. And comparing orgs, it is apples to oranges. But still, a level of caution when signing big ticket players.

You can still play the younger guys after adding several good players.Aren't you also always saying to play the younger players?! How does that work when adding several players exactly like Taylor Hall whom everyone was happy to let go?! Madness with some of the logic going on here.
Whats puzzling about it?Yeah, the "short term deals" part of that post is puzzling to say the least.
LOL to thinking that reasonably priced, top line UFA's exist, let alone assuming they would choose to sign here rather than chase a Cup. Lolololz. You can still play the younger guys after adding several good players.
Bertuzzi - Bedard- UFA
Teravainen - Nazar - UFA
Slaggert - UFA - Dach
Foligno - Dickenson - Mikheyev
You can add 3 good UFAs to this group, and still play the kids in top 9 roles.
lol madness.
Whats puzzling about it?
Who said it would be a top line UFA? It's a UFA that can play on the top line, like TT, or Bertuzzi.LOL to thinking that reasonably priced, top line UFA's exist, let alone assuming they would choose to sign here rather than chase a Cup. Lolololz.
How does that improve the team?Who said it would be a top line UFA? It's a UFA that can play on the top line, like TT, or Bertuzzi.
How does it not? This team lacks depth, add good NHLers, get rid of the non NHLers. We aren't looking to.make the playoffs next season, or the season after that anyway. How does that improve the team?
So more of the same level of players that they already have will improve the team? If you say so!How does it not? This team lacks depth, add good NHLers, get rid of the non NHLers. We aren't looking to.make the playoffs next season, or the season after that anyway.
