Those 4 million dollar players are probably going to be 5 or 6 million dollar players now with everyone having a bunch of cap space coming.

Age and term are the important things.

lol, yes, no difference between TT/Bertuzzi level players and Maroon, Reichel, and Kurashev. Like, do you actually believe the stuff you say?
That's a clever way of twisting the fact that "more of the same players" obviously means more of TT/Bertuzzi since they are already here, yet good job trying to focus on players who won't be here next season. You're watching games this year and thinking that the way for the Blackhawks to improve is by acquiring more of the players getting outshot 20-2 through half the game? Do you actually believe the stuff you say?

Its not twisting anything. The team will definitely improve if you replace the 3 worst players on the team, with 3 much better players. Of course I'm focusing on the players that the new players would replace lol. that's how it works.

if you replace kurashev/reichel and maroon with carbon copies of bertuzzi and tt, you probably end up with a better team. put another way you might find less controversial, if a player with 4 goals and a player with 2 goals are replaced by a player with 17 goals and a player with 11 goals at ~50 games through the season, you've improved the goal scoring from those two players by more than four times.

edit: to be more precise they would gain +22 net goals for, which would place them in the top 10 offenses in the nhl right now. obviously you don't realistically expect that kind of leap for all kinds of reasons if they were to only sign two $4-6 million guys in the offseason. it just goes to show that good depth goes a long way.

You're talking about removing a 4th liner and someone who has been scratched most of the past month. Those guys aren't the reason why the Hawks have been getting outshot by absurd margins and showing little offensive pressure. Players like Bertuzzi and TT are exactly the reason why the shot disparity keeps happening. Adding more of those players that have been getting caved means the Hawks no longer get caved?! Sure.

Kurashev has played 3/5ths of the Hawks games.

Having those level of players is exactly why we are getting caved in every night. No depth, more pressure on the top 9 players to perform, having 4th liners in top 9 roles because they lack depth. I'm talking about adding top 9 players, instead of having 4th liners/AHLers in our top 9, and you don't think the team would be better for it, lol, it's pretty laughable.

Jason Dickenson in a 4th line role? He would fare much better than the role he is in now, same goes for Foligno, and Mikheyev who are being asked to do way more than they should be. The fact they have played 1 minute next to Bedard tells you all you need to know.

Your plan of just adding one great player helps them not get caved in, how exactly? 1 player is suddenly going to make the 3 other lines not get caved in? lol You make little sense.

It goes back to my first post on this #1289. The Hawks need better players, not just more of the same. Their current roster is full of players who can play bottom six--so many that they overflow to the top line. There's only so much room for improvement by simply shuffling lineups and churning the roster with decent players yet that's what you suggest they do--keep shuffling lineups with mid level talent. One player isn't going to turn the entire team around, but since money has to be spent it might as well be on someone who does something better than status quo. Puck possession, faceoffs, scoring--pick a category and spend with a purpose on solving something rather than bargain shopping in an effort to flip that player for a 3rd round pick.

lol top 9 players are better than the 4th liners/AHLers that are currently in the top 9. So my idea works, thanks for agreeing.

So NHL suspends Ryan Hartman for dirty head slam of Stutzke into the ice on a faceoif.. Studley in vulnerable position head down and dirty Hartman just slams Stutzle's back down visciouslyvhardcand fStutzke's face smashes into the ice.. real dirty and dekiberatevibtent to injure.

Meanwhile Fliorida's Gadjovoc gets only 2 minutes for deliberate charge intobthe back numbers of Crevier smashing humans his head and feet into the back boards..Why was that not atheist a major Nd a game Nd subject to further discipline /suspension..It too was a deliberate intent to injure a player in unsuspecting vulnerable position.. Gadjovoc did not ease up as he crashed into Crevier who was facing the boards ..Neither did Gadjovoc adjust his charge from distanceand slow itvto ease into the check in tge back..It was an accelerated full speed charge into the numbers and the result was a head injury and he is now onIR...

The NHL needs to review all injury hits to pkayers insuch vulnerable unsuspecting position...I do not know Gadjovic's history for this stuff..not just normal roughing/boarding.. but dekiberatecaccekerationinto the slam hit in the back withheld hot into the glass as a consequence.. It should be jnder review even though refs gave Only 2 minutes.. It was viscuius beyond normal shove boarding or beyond normal run guy from only 2 or 3 feet awY..Gadjovic was acceleration g into his intended take -out fron a greater distance...implying deliberate attemot to injure.

There is no justice in tge arbitrary NHL ..

Sure Hartman has been suspended before for dirty hits ,so you expect the hardest of discipline from the League on hom...Maybevthisvosvonly a first tine for Gadjovoc for a dirty hit into the boards and glass.. ButLetting hom get off with no punishment from the NHL is atrocious.. And shame of the refs who only handed out a minor penalty.

If you are not going to admonister justice equally then basement Hawksxshouldxtargetcany League bof stR like McDavid amd "take hom out"..see how Bettman like that...

Of course if Gadjovoc had hot McDavid like he did Crevier you betcha the NHL woukd be suspending him like they did Hartman no matter what refs calked o thevice..Of coursectge refs woukd have throenGajovoc out of the game if it had been McDavid and not "just" Crevier...

Si we have refs who are not coming g what is deserved ...and tge League protecting refs who were blind and made the wrong call on severity of the in game penalty deserved.

No to trading our first for Brady. Get a high pick this season, swing for the gutter one more time next season and see if we get McKenna, then move the hell on out of this rebuild for good.

What an insufferable poster you are.
it's more insufferable seeing you try to play this game expecting to be taken seriously. again, replacing worse players with better players makes for a better team, not "more of the same", even if your means of doing so is "more of the same" strategy you pursued in the past. the two are seperate questions but you are equivocating between them.
