Mika Z is a good example of why it’s usually a bad idea to sign big UFAs to 7 year deals. Guy looks washed at 31 and is signed through 2030. I bet Rantanen will follow a similar path.
Kucherov might have just ended Matthew Tkachuk's season with a nasty knee to knee hit.
He came back.
Gotta wonder how much time Dolan will give Drury to fix this. The problem with Rags is with ownership and management but they gotta fire Lav at this point.

Same thing I thought. Absolutely a charlie horse.I was going to say, that looked like a Charlie horse more than anything. Glad to see him back. Tough player.
3rd in the East. They're money printing play things for him.How are Knicks doing?
Dolan tends to ignore one of this teams if other is doing well
Many a terrible Ranger and Knick management groups have had longer than should have lives because of that aspect of Dolan ownership of clubs
Thought he might have broken his femur the way he reacted.I was going to say, that looked like a Charlie horse more than anything. Glad to see him back. Tough player.
Rangers still suck, I see.
Do you think Lafreniere would play well with Bedard?
Philly is cursed lol
Who are you talking about? They had a perfectly good young goalie that looked the part of the answer they threw under bus as rookie and tossed away a year later
Future HOF that guy is
Who are you talking about?
I have to imagine it's some Russian.
And here I thought maybe you were talking about something recent, and not 15 years ago. lolBobrovsky
22 yr old rookie with Flyers in 2010-11 season
28-13-8 with 2.59 GAA and .915 sv pct
In playoffs
Game 1 vs Sabres = 24 saves on 25 shots as Flyers lost 1-0
Game 2 Bob struggles = 4 saves on 7 shots and is pulled
Lavi goes to Boucher until he shits bed in game 5 (8 saves on 11 shots) and then starts Leighton for game 6, Leighton shits bed (5 saves on 8 shots) but Boucher holds down and Flyers come back to win and then take series in 7
Vs B's Boucher shits bed in game 1 (18 saves on 23 shots) and is pulled. Bob does a little better (2 saves on 10 shots) as B's blowout Flyers 7-3
Game 2 vs B's Bobrovsky briefly comes into game and stops all 6 shots but Boucher returns and Flyers lose in OT
Game 3 vs B's Boucher struggles and is pulled (16 saves on 20 shots) and Bob finishes game with 7 saves on 8 shots
Bob starts game 4 making 22 saves on 25 shots as Flyers lose 5-1 (2 EN goals for B's to end game) and are swept
Flyer's ownership and management decide Bob despite his great rookie year is not answer throwing him under bus for not stepping up his game in playoffs and sign Bryzgalov to 9 yr deal
Neither goalie does all that well in 11-12 season amid media circus of goalie situation with Bob firmly planted in #2 spot all year
In offseason Flyer's trade Bob to Blue Jackets for some picks
Rest is history
Bob wins 2012-13 and 2016-17 Vezina's while leading Blue Jackets to multiple playoff appearances and stealing first ever playoff series win for franchise as Bob gives up just 8 goals in sweep of top ranked Lightning in shocking 1st round upset
Takes Panthers to SCF run in 2022-23 and Wins Stanley Cup in 2023-24 and crosses 400-win mark
Bob is a future HOFer while Flyers still searching for franchise goalie
I still laugh about Matt Ellison for Patrick Sharp. And here I thought maybe you were talking about something recent, and not 15 years ago. lol
