NHL: Around the League 53

Bobrovsky

22 yr old rookie with Flyers in 2010-11 season

28-13-8 with 2.59 GAA and .915 sv pct

In playoffs

Game 1 vs Sabres = 24 saves on 25 shots as Flyers lost 1-0

Game 2 Bob struggles = 4 saves on 7 shots and is pulled

Lavi goes to Boucher until he shits bed in game 5 (8 saves on 11 shots) and then starts Leighton for game 6, Leighton shits bed (5 saves on 8 shots) but Boucher holds down and Flyers come back to win and then take series in 7

Vs B's Boucher shits bed in game 1 (18 saves on 23 shots) and is pulled. Bob does a little better (2 saves on 10 shots) as B's blowout Flyers 7-3
what did you mean to type here? 8 saves? (2 goals)

3 straight days with no games, yet the NHL schedulers managed to have 2 day games on Monday earlier this week when most people were probably working.

Would've been great to have a Hawks game to watch today.

Dont see appeal of McLellan

His Oiler and King teams didn't exactly impress and the Sharks he guided were already a deep/well built team that was among best in NHL and after his first few years performance of Sharks declined as he never got them over hump

And interestingly once he was gone the Sharks made finals and had a conf final run under Deboer

He took bad Oilers and bad Kings rosters to finally making the playoffs again. If Yzerman is desperate to get to the playoffs, it fits.

Some talks were that Chicago might of signed him, so glad he's hired elsewhere

If only I could remember one of his big playoff moments.

Not sure the Hawks can talk any trash in that regard. If it weren't for the Covid bubble season we'd be on the doorstep of a decade worth of seasons of missing the playoffs entirely. This would be season number 9 of missing the playoffs, but it's 8 out of 9 because of the Covid year.

Best case scenario with prospects hitting and such and the Hawks are still likely to miss the playoffs for 2 more seasons after this year, I'd imagine.

The comment had no relevance to your forecast for the Blackhawks. If $13 mil is the number, I would rather get a guy who is a proven winner in the playoffs.

Save that money for Kaprizov

So far in his career he actually has worse point production than Marner in the playoffs. What is even more odd is in 19 career playoff games he's only managed 2 assists. Last time he was in the playoffs he only managed one point (a goal) in 6 games.

With that said I'd kill to have him in Chicago.

Florida shutout and beat badly by the habs featuring a goalie I’ve never heard of (Dobes). Hockey can be a weird game.
