-Apparently (from what i read on the B's board) the Ullmark deal was done in good faith to show Swayman they wanted him here.

-Boston has a much better defensive system than Ottawa, i'm sure Korpisalo will look better as a Bruin than he did as a Senator

-Swayman's agent is using the press as a tool as well, he probably leaked some slant to Spittin' Chiclets

-Since 2015/16 until this past season the Bruins have been a regular season powerhouse, what are you talking about? They're first in the league in points over that time and made a SCF appearance.

-On the flipside, going with Korpisalo for the first few months and having a decent season tanks Swayman's value as well no? Unless Ullmark and Swayman are exceptional goaltenders (unlikely), the Bruin's system in place is conducive to good goaltending. Swayman holding out and not getting into game shape isn't going to help him.

Regardless, he hasn't proven anything and is demanding an elite contract. The Bruins are right to not give it to him and I'd hope in the same situation KD would do the same.

"Rumors" are he's looking for a McAvoy deal, which is absurd
If Swayman is actually expecting a 9+ cap hit Sweeney is completely correct even if he's reacting like an idiot.

Interesting situation in Vancouver. Demko is out indefinitely with a rare muscle condition. Really throws a wrench in their contender status which is too bad I've grown to like that team the last few years outside of EP 40

I don't see how anyone could have a strong hate for Vancouver at this point. Not much to hate on the active roster and most of the big players from that rivalry have retired. Who even is still playing aside from Kane?

Just came down today...The NCC (National Capital ComisSion) here in Ottawa has agreed to sell 10 acres of Lenreton Flats at Fair Market Value to the owners of the Otawa Senators which allows them to proceed on building a new Arena d Entertainment district for hockey and other events in this prime downtown location which is accessible by Light Rail Transit (the rail line and stops are already there)..

For me living in Ottawa and many local hockeyvfans getting to a Senators game out in Kanata with traffic takes 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffic flow on the 417 on hame nights...Then it can take anither half hour to 40 minutes just to get out ofvthebparkingblot after games. The entire experience is not very enjoyable to get out there and back.

Now I can just hop onthe LRT (if it has not broken down...and thatvis another story ) which is a 5 minute walk from my condo and be at the New Arena in just a few minutes...

Eve though the Senators are my 2nd fVourute team after my believed Blackhawks,I do plan to go to more NHL games in Ottawa once tge Arena is built and opens ...probably goibgvto be 5 yearsorv6 years before the project opens.

With the go ahead they now can finally draw up the architectural design plans for a state-of-the-art art Arena and environs on that acreage.
