That’s good for this Vancouver core to win their first playoff game. Very little playoff experience there so it’s nice to get it done their first try. I don’t hate ‘em’, they’re cool to watch and they don’t have any major douches on their team

Nashville vs Vancouver next.

This was my pick for the 'upset' in the first round. Interested to see how Vancouver starts this series, seeing as most of the players in their team haven't even played a playoff game in their own building.



Yeah, but on the other hand if you're the Jets are you thrilled that your ace in the hole let in 6 and you got outshot and outchanced all night? I'd feel less confident after that game.

And again, I like Bednar as a coach a lot more than Bowness.

Jets beat Avs playing Avs run-and-gun game and I think they are quite confident that they can beat Colorado playing tight-checking playoff style hockey. It will be interesting going forward. I'm sure both coaches were less than thrilled about the wide open hockey.

But for fans, this game was very exciting to watch. Good for the game to see all those goals in playoff hockey, IMO.

Watched a lot of playoff hockey this weekend in between kid tourney games. A few things:

- the state of goaltending in the NHL is pretty rough

- watching the playoff teams, man the Hawks have a long way to go. And you realize Bedard’s main linemate is a 3rd liner on a player team

- the sleepy announcer lady doing the Col Peg game. Oh boy

- highlight was the pa person at the leafs games playing ‘we are 138’ by The Misfits.

The broadcast team for the Avs/Jets game is insufferable. At least you can mute it, but damn, playoff hockey should have far better voices behind the mic.

That woman was dreadful. I don’t mind Aj Mlesko (sp?) or the two women who do the women’s matchups but that lady was the sports announcer equivalent of melatonin and NyQuil

As soon as Carolina scored that second goal NY was toast. I was at the game and called it - for what that’s worth. That series is donzo.

The isle tried to hang on for like 35 minutes. That’s not likely.
