That's a shame. Didn't MacKinnon's hit end his career? I know he had multiple concussions but I remember a game he got blindsided and never recovered after that.

I never understood why he got drafted so high. Canadian media hyped him up too much.

Even in his draft year, he only looked like a player with middle six upside. Then pile on the injury history, and it was a pretty bad pick. And people were still saying he should've gone 1st on draft day.
