you had to have been hoping that before because theres no way you can call what Draisaitl did is assualt. Its a standard penalty that wouldnt have even been called if Barkov didnt get hurt.

He 100% headhunted.

This has been the playoffs the past couple years, teams are dirty as hell with some of the best players and the goobers running around with intent to injure, only meaningful discipline happens if a zero hits a hero.

Disagree. He exploded through his hit .2 seconds too early ended up a little to high. If Barkov doesnt get rattled they dont even think twice about the hit.

You can say someone100% head hunted on every rabbit punch throughout a series too doesnt make it malicious enough for a suspension.

There zero reason to launch your elbow or put your fist/stick into someone's head/chin when going in for contact. It's cowardly bull****.

Bobrovsky about to be one of the least deserving Conn Smythe winners ever. In 14 wins, he's been their most important player twice.
LOL.....I doubt there's a single NHL player who has faced Bob in these playoffs would agree with you. Of course it isn't over yet but it's odd timing for this as well as Bob has looked more and more solid as the POs have progressed. He just stole game 1 of the final and is clearly in Oilers shooters head.

Results matter. There's a difference between getting a DUI and killing somebody while driving impaired. Drai has a history of rat f*** nonsense to boot.

Yes, they do. If he didnt go up early it would have been a clean hit. Because he did it was a minor penalty. The games very fast.

An elbow to the head is a penalty regardless of where your skates are.
Didnt mention his skates. He lunged forward too early and ended up to high instead of his chest.

We disagree. You think it was intentional hit to the head to injure and suspension worthy. I think it was a standard play were Draisaitl came up to early and resulted in a minor penalty. Its a thin line were not going to convince eachother.

Do you think Drai didn't elbow Barkov in the jaw?

I think his forearm came up and hit him in the side of the face. Something that happens all the time.

Bud... it was as dirty as a baby's shit diaper. He f***ing jumped into his head leading with his elbow. Get your eyes checked.

Cry’s skates were well off the ice leading with the elbow. That is not a hockey play but head hunting. If you are .2 seconds late, as you say, you are still responsible but he was absolutely headhunting.

If he was .2 seconds late he didnt hit when it was intended so not headhunting.

We will see if he gets suspended. I dont think he will. It looked like a standard high hit minor penalty.

You also don't explode into a hit early. You explode because mass smashes into mass. If you leave your feet before contact it's because you're trying to hurt someone.

And trying to hurt someone isn't illegal. You just have to do it correctly. Drai didn't. He hurt someone. He should be held accountable for it.

Disagree. He was lunging into the hit and went too early and extended arms a bit because his spacing was off. Went higher then intended and got a penalty for it. Not intentionally trying to injure or get up high IMO. He did get up high and got the minor.

We can reasonably disagree.

Who was it earlier this playoffs that got a charging penalty for jumping standing still into a hit?

Drais skates are in the air before contact, hits him in the jaw. This should be reviewed as a charging which is a suspension worthy punishment

Yes, if you're lunging, or JUMPING into a hit with your arms extended and you hit a guy in the head and he's injured you should get more than a minor penalty.
