Ovechkin needs to average 36 goals a season the next two years to tie the all time goal record. Absolutely insane that one of Gretzky’s goal records might be broken.
At one point Ovi showed some signs of slowing down his goal production but that didn't last long at all and well into his thirties he still is a physical monster who smokes ops players on a regular basis. What an amazing athlete he is.Ovechkin needs to average 36 goals a season the next two years to tie the all time goal record. Absolutely insane that one of Gretzky’s goal records might be broken.
Michkov is the much better talent make no mistake but what Demidov does better is he is solid in his own zone and has a motor. That's Michkov's biggest problem. He can be very lazy defensively whereas Demidov actually gives a f*** on the ice on both sides AND is talented. When the puck is on his stick though.. Michkov is just as elite offensively as Bedard (arguably more) in that department. But man.. does he give off Patrik Laine like vibes on the ice when it's not and this is not counting the potential attitude problems.Michkov scratched for KHL season opener wow
I’ve said it before but I think Demidov, who dressed today on the same team, could have a better NHL career than Michkov. Just seems to have a better toolkit. Would look absurd on Bedards wing
Do you have any actual evidence of that or is this just another one of your "not my guy" so trash him any chance you get!?Michkov was unwilling to earn minutes last season, and forced a loan to Sochi instead.
He's obviously not in high standing with his club.
What evidence?Do you have any actual evidence of that or is this just another one of your "not my guy" so trash him any chance you get!?
You said he was unwilling to earn minutes and forced his way to sochi. Couldnt it be just that SKA wasnt able to give him playing time and thought it would be better for him to go play in sochi on a loan and develope. What evidence?
That's literally what happened. That's why he was in Sochi, and not St. Petersburg.
SKA sent him to play in the VHL for that very reason. You said he was unwilling to earn minutes and forced his way to sochi. Couldnt it be just that SKA wasnt able to give him playing time and thought it would be better for him to go play in sochi on a loan and develope.

Michkov bitched about not playing in the KHL, and then demanded to be loaned.
Sure, if all he cared about was the media attention.Well yeah that’s probably smart if you’re not going to get playing time for a team that only cares about winning and not your development.
So let me get this straight. Michkov should be in vhl although he has shown he can play in khl. But Ian Mitchel should have been gifted role in NHL when he clearly showed that he was in over his head. You even cried that Blackhawks were ruining his development...Sure, if all he cared about was the media attention.
Regarding development, I don't think playing for a trash fire KHL team is a step above a top VHL organization that still would have promoted him to the KHL after earning it.
All I'm saying is I don't think SKA thinks too highly of him because of it, and it's no wonder they've scratched him to start the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on loan again, or outright traded.
Michkov should have started in the VHL last year, and worked his way up to the KHL. Like everyone else. He doesn't deserve special treatment. So let me get this straight. Ska favors vets that is no news. So maybe they should loan out Mitckov again. Why jojo him around if you are not going to use him.
The games Mitchel played in NHL clearly showed that he was not ready for NHL game, but according to you he should have been gifted place in team!?Michkov should have started in the VHL last year, and worked his way up to the KHL. Like everyone else. He doesn't deserve special treatment.
I'm not sure why you're bringing up Ian Mitchell. Mitchell proved himself as a top pairing defenseman in Rockford.
