Domi to Chicago now I’m guessing. They can’t afford both.

I just don’t like PLD that much after burning 2 franchises. After LA there is nowhere else to go so he better nut up. I don’t see Doughty and Kopitar letting him get away with much though.

Am I missing something on that Kevin Hayes trade? Philly is retaining 50%!!! of the deal and only getting back a 6th round pick... Briere went from that brilliant Provorov trade to... whatever the hell trade this is.

Kevin Hayes and Torts were gonna murder each other by the mid point of next season. They picked the coach over a mediocre, overpaid player, and shipped Hayes off for the first offer. They wanted him gone stat, maybe as a message to the rest of the locker-room that nobody should feel safe, no matter their contract.

Weird. Toffoli seems like he could've netted a late 1st.

Yeah, this is another fantastic move for NJD.

I like PLD as a player even if he is overrated defensively.

That said, 8x8.5 is a lot for a guy that’s only a very good 2C.

Its not like Winnipeg made out like bandits though. They got 2 fine players with potential upside, but not anybody that really moves the needle.

Kayes was the leader of a group of malcontents. Philly is cutting out the cancer to the bone.
Why did this happen again a decade later? Didn't they jettison Richards and Carter for culture reasons too? Was grioux a problem being there all those pointless years of the team?

Richards and Carter had issues though. Can't really get into it openly but when Richards got busted with a bunch of pills let's just say I wasn't surprised.

If that was case Torts would be gone as well

Everywhere Torts goes he clashes with players and eventually locker rooms turn on him

He also undermined any potential value in Hayes/DeAngelo and others by publicly putting there conflicts out there. Other coaches would keep it in house.

Briere clearly made his choice.
