TSN hockey analysts speculating that Jonathon Quick will not be in Columbus for long... he could be flipped to Vegas (who BTW might meet the Kings in the first round of POs).

Rangers D are crap at 1v1 battles and knowing that they don't get much puck support down low from their forwards to address the issue.

I know Ottawa doesn't get a lot of love on this board but I for one see an up and coming team with a solid core. Get Ryan Reynolds in there in the new ownership group ... starting to look shall I say a little more sexy!
And they're what 11 - 3 - 1 in their last 15 ... the playoffs aren't completely out of the picture.

Ottawa is good. They play with pace and are tough to play against. If they get in I could see them winning their first round matchup. They obviously are weak on D but their forwards play sound D to help pickup the slack

Weak on D? Chychrun, Chabot, Sanderson and Zub is a pretty solid top 4.

Chychrun and Chabot are good, Sanderson is good but young and learning, Zub is fine. But none are as good as McAvoy, Fox, Hedman, etc
Perhaps not as good but I would say not far behind. This is a solid team who has gelled at the right time.
And they're missing their 1LC. If not this year then they're in the PO's next and ready to compete for a cup in '25. Of course some luck with pucks and an absence of injuries will be as with all teams crucial.

How long will Giroux be a PPG on Ottawa. Is Debrincat going to stay?

Hard to say with either but Giroux could be good for another year for ppg but regardless even at .5 per game and his leadership he is worth the cap hit .. as for Cat who knows where he's at .. it would behoove him to stay and sign if he wants a legit chance at playing with an up and coming competitive team. May come down to whether he likes the city and the oh so long winters! There is also the small issue of what he's going to sign for and whether Ottawa can swing it as they can only give out so many 8+ contracts!

Kane and Panarin should play on separate lines IMO. Kane will play the same regardless when engaged but Panarin will just float around waiting for one timers if Kane is on the ice with him.
I think I agree. At least for now. Kane is deferring and not commanding the puck. He had like two touches in the first. Put him with a couple of the kids or someone where he's the main puck handler.

I didn't see the first but Kane had the puck plenty in the 2nd and played pretty well I thought. Panarin is killing the play every time he gets the puck in the 3rd just trying to pass through guys to Kane every chance he gets.
