I wasn't saying he's now a two-way defensive wunderkind. Baby steps for these offense-only forwards.

I'm afraid it may be too late for that with Panarin at 30. It is rare that a one-dimensional, high output forward can beoame a solid 2-way player later in his career.... and if Gallant can't turn him around I doubt there is a coach who can. Artemi is what I call a luxury player that only great teams can afford to have in the line-up.
