i downloaded the free trial...they improved some of the things they ruined in 24, so it is a better game. i cannot imagine a lower bar to set, but it is what it is. this will probably be the first year in decades that i don't purchase.

Love all the people that just have to go out of their way to tell everyone that they won't be purchasing the game.
I don't understand the people who wait until the game drops in price, too. Yes, we agree every year that the game is disappointing. But many of the online players put 100s of hours into it every year. Is your $20 really worth the three months you miss?

Hut is in horrible place if you are f2p. Also one timers are still OP and no sign of them nerfing it. It is so uninteractive as a d to play against one timers and they are boring to go for. If this is the current state by end of week two I do not see myself playing HUT this year longer than few weeks when its usually until january when i stop playing.

Best thing to do is hold off until it becomes cheap anyway I know people are disappointed year after year with missing features from older games in popular modes but they are probably the least funded development team on ea sports I know BAP could use an overhaul and bring back playing through minor leagues until draft, and franchise doesn't always get to many tweaks but they brought back chel, x factors are cool and bring a uniqueness to the game its still a fun game with frustrating moments but chances are the only real way to get real change to gameplay and offline modes is to stop playing HUT it was amazing at first but since they get more money from hut packs they can ignore everything else the offline modes don't offer monetary satisfaction the way HUT does almost a constant overflow of cash. I liked it when they made the offline modes appealing enough for you to get HUT pack rewards in order to check out HUT. I remember playing 11 or 12 ,not sure, bap and you could do challenges that would earn HUT rewards and that would get me invested in the team building aspect of HUT and doing card searches and pack openings which was fun problem was I preferred eashl, BAP and Gm more than HUT.

From what I can tell 25 looks like an enhancement from 24 as far as franchise mode goes? About time they added NTCs and NMC into the game. $70 is still a little too steep for my liking I was hoping it’d maybe be discounted for prime days but I assume as it literally just released it won’t go on sale until Black Friday.

I bought this in the EA phase and I can’t recommend it to anyone…even on sale. There’s just so many problems with the game like matchmaking, shooting, controller help (one time shots are not listed at all), and more.

The worst of them all is passing and playing in transition. When I pass I want it to go to the player closest to me, not the direction I’m facing, that’s just f***ing stupid.

In transition to my defensive zone I want to switch to the player that can stop the puck handler not the person behind them.

In single player modes, the opposing team NEVER gets penalized. What the f*** is that? The teams are not perfect and should be reflected in that.

Blocking shots - if I have Al Macinnis taking a slap shot to the point, the blocker should never get up quickly as he’s got one of the most lethal point shots in the game.

Shooting in the different controller modes (basic to advanced) is beyond messed up and broken.

I could go on and on with this.

This game was programmed by people who read a book on hockey, not people who were around pro hockey in any way at any level.

In regards to 'controller help', I personally advise everyone to regularly go into free skate with the pass aiming graphics activated and learn how your player moves. Learn how to aim complex passes. Learn flip dumps, skill dekes, shot block animations and quick pivoting.

Every year people should be spending several hours in there just practicing. Because many of these actions require the use of shift keys and combinations of both thumbsticks.

The passing is beyond broken right now. Also, this game needs an end to end 5 on 5 scrimmage mode not half ice scenarios.

Define broken. Unrealistic, yes. But I've had zero problem aiming my passes for years. I've also mastered manual saucer passes using skill stick. You need to use pass cancelation frequently to do so.
