Maxime Lapierre was playing 3d C with the Rocket when he was drafted. The top 2 Cs didn't make the NHL. Remember Cory Urqhuart?Just so people are aware, he didn’t play on the top 2 lines in Baie Comeau. They kept him as a 3C. I can definitely see teams having him higher in their rankings than the amateur scouting services.
As a small aside, I absolutely love it when pay-wall blocked websites still run ads. (not that paywalls work)View attachment 879619View attachment 879620View attachment 879621
Celebrini
Demidov
Catton
Lindstrom
Sennecke
Dan Milstein, his agent, or North American agent is hosting his own combine later and Demidov will be there, but no testing. Is Demidov at combine?
That should be readily ascertainable as the Russian combine is to be held in Florida.Dan Milstein, his agent, or North American agent is hosting his own combine later and Demidov will be there, but no testing.
There's apparently a bit if controversy about his height. It could be from 5'9 - just over 6'

No testing? Sounds kind of odd. Hiding something?Dan Milstein, his agent, or North American agent is hosting his own combine later and Demidov will be there, but no testing.

All I remember is we liked him more than Patrice Bergeron which could have changed a lot of things. The Habs handled the beginning of the 2003 draft horrendously. Draft Getzlaf and Bergeron and we are at 25 and maybe even 26 Cups.Maxime Lapierre was playing 3d C with the Rocket when he was drafted. The top 2 Cs didn't make the NHL. Remember Cory Urqhuart?
just from watching gameplay footage there's no way he's 5'9Dan Milstein, his agent, or North American agent is hosting his own combine later and Demidov will be there, but no testing.

Yeah he's hurt that's why he won't be participating. No testing? Sounds kind of odd. Hiding something?
I've never heard about it being questioned until the B&G podcast.just from watching gameplay footage there's no way he's 5'9
He might be two little people in a suit for all we knowDan Milstein, his agent, or North American agent is hosting his own combine later and Demidov will be there, but no testing.

Some (most, including respected members of my own staff) have a much higher opinion as to Parekh's NHL potential than this writer. In watching Beck's development this year ( I watched over 40 games) I had a keen opportunity to also observe Parekh's level of play. While very skillful offensively, I don't believe the balance of his skills translate well to the NHL. My concerns about Parekh potential have been repeatedly posted before. The decision to take this light and unidimensional player at 5 OA would be a regrettable squandering of an opportunity to secure a key core player going forward. Not including Celebrini bc he'll be gone but otherwise:
1. Demidov
2. Levshunov
3. Dickinson
4. Catton
5. Parekh
6. Buium
7. Lindstrom
8. Iginla
9. Silayev
10. Sennecke
What I found interesting was some of them have been in the scouting role with the sens for 20-28 years and when asked what their proudest scouting moment is you would expect a name you know like Pageau in the 4th, stone in the 6th, maybe Hoffman in the 5th or Dzingle in the 7th. Nope you get Derek Grant in the 4th and a undrafted guy they signed in Parker Kelly. Maybe Pierre Dorion was doing everything. Despite being with the team for a long time it does not seem like many of these scouts were heavily involved in drafting al lot of their rosterInteresting piece about the work done by 11 scouts (amateur and European) for one NHL team, likely most heading to the combine.
The bad news, they’re Sens scouts. The good news, maybe try and poach one.
On the average they watch 200-300 games (in person viewings) a year and will log in a ton of miles, some even more depending on regions.

The guy who went a couple of picks before Bergeron?Maxime Lapierre was playing 3d C with the Rocket when he was drafted. The top 2 Cs didn't make the NHL. Remember Cory Urqhuart?
This kid has the right mentality on top of being super skilled.
Small and slow. Sounds like a Bergevin-like pick.Don't care, still small and not fast. We have that already. Pass.

Don't like the way that sounded. Given trouble we've had with injuries.Yeah he's hurt that's why he won't be participating.
"Slow" would be towards the end of the list of adjectives you could possibly use to describe CattonSmall and slow. Sounds like a Bergevin-like pick.
How so? The only first rounder drafted under Bergevin shorter than 6'2" was Caufield.Small and slow. Sounds like a Bergevin-like pick.
It doesn't make sense because it doesn't make sense lol. Catton would be a fantastic pick, he's the same size as Demidov and probably a better skater, yet we never hear those terms used to describe him.How so? The only first rounder drafted under Bergevin shorter than 6'2" was Caufield.
Agreed but I wouldn't spend a top 15 pick on Eiserman. Attitude is a serious question mark, and if he's not putting the puck in the net he's negatively impacting the team.I’d love if they could pull off getting two picks in the top 15. That could really set us up well and be great for our cap when we want to contend, if we hit on both picks. Demidov/Iggy/Dman with Sennecke/Eiserman/Catton would be an A+ draft for us
