Virtually 0 chance of it happening, but I want the #12 and 13 teams winning the draws. Or one of them winning the draw for #1 and anyone else can win the #2 pick.
Unfortunately, I think it's going to be pretty anti-climactic (for us) if two teams behind Columbus win the lottery. We'll already know that they got the #1 and #2 picks (unless it's a #12+ team), and we'll be stuck at 3.

I think if the Ducks do end up getting the #1 pick they need to explore trading Terry.
He's older than the core and you can't have that many undersized soft players in your top 6. His value is at an all time high

I see the logic but worry what message that would send to the locker room and their morale.
Besides, he’s 25. It’s not like he’s 29. He’s got plenty of race track to remain a pillar on our Top 6 as we return to contention. The more I think about it, the more I hate it.

but just imagine how much worse it would've been if we hadn't finished at the very bottom and there was a chance we'd fall out of the top 3? the fact that they are guaranteed a top 3 pick is massive (for the team and our sanity)

Not intentionally. I woke up, immediately thought about it being draft day, thought it was closer to 9am so just figured I'd get up instead of going back to sleep and then when I looked at my phone it was 7am. Been twiddling my thumbs ever since.

For the first time ever a meeting I was just in was almost relaxing because it took my mind off the lottery. Now it's done and I'm back at my desk and all the excitement/anxiety is just flooding back.
