Man people just absolutely dumping on this kid. I know he's had issues, but I didn't need more reason to be annoyed by Rangers fans.

Pronman:

Lias Andersson, C, HV71-SHL: Andersson is a highly-intelligent and competitive player who can play in the hard areas and create offense in those hard areas. He’s not that big though and lacks clear NHL quality speed and skill.

I wonder how much the attitude/trade issues negatively impact rankings though?

Kids like 21 years old, maybe it wasnt the best situation or system.Maybe it was the coaches.Anyways, the kid is a King and lets hope he can turn it around and prove the Rangers wrong for giving up on him.

went back to Sweden stating it had been tough mentally and complained about incidents but wouldnt comment on it according to the Hockey News future prospects. Kings would have done there due diligence especially with his dad in the organization. Averaging a point a game since return to Sweden. Has size, can skate, plays all out, Still only 21. Lets see what LA can bring out of him

Since Andersson went back to the SHL he's been very productive. That's a good sign.

Can't say I love the fact that his dad works for the Kings. Reeks of nepotism.

For a kid who apparently had some adjustment issues, I see it as a good thing. Between that and having Bjornfot et. al. around.

"The draft will take place from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM"

Right... this second round has taken longer than the first round!

It's a little iffy but honestly our development program is pretty solid, so we will see pretty soon if this was a worthy gamble.

Or it's the one place in the NHL where he'd feel the most comfortable. Needy? Maybe, but if it gets him to reach his potential it'd be worth it.

Nepotism? Right. This should be it for Blake, we already know he's gone if he "lost" the coin flip on Stutzle/Byfield.

Yeah, there's different ways you can look at it. His Dad obviously knows what really happened in NY. Gives the Kings some insight.

If you drafted a player at 60th overall who was putting up the production he currently is at 21 in the SHL, you'd probably be pretty happy.
